2PM, Jung Yunho, Kpop, taecyeon, TVXQ 12 Jun 2011 [NEWS] Hip Hop Group Cream Team’s U-Know Yunho-Taecyeon Diss Controversy “Puppets Who Spit Out Rap”!

Hip hop group Cream Team’s new single ‘Yes, You’ has been swept up in controversy for dissing U-Know Yunho and Taecyeon.

Releasing their third single ‘Yes, You’ on the 7th, Cream Team’s Mazorkey and Amotai quickly became hot topics for using slang and swear words as they directed their lyrics at idols singers saying, ‘Doll-like kids are taking their clothes off, some are ripping them off. They are the idols of kids, this isn’t a diss but saying that is awesome isn’t cool at all.” They also became the topics of a heated debate when netizens accused them of directly attacking and dissing TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho and 2PM’s Taecyeon.

In hip hop, dissing is common and used in a variety of ways to attack people rappers don’t like through songs or actions to portray their raw emotions. Using implications, rappers leave evidence for listeners to guess who the subject of their diss is.

Netizens who heard ‘Yes, You’ say that the lyrics ‘Doll-like kids are taking their clothes off, some are ripping them off. All they have to show are their chocolate abs that will melt off soon’ are garnered at Taecyeon, who is called ‘Ripping Taecyeon’ for his shirt-ripping performances while the lyrics, ‘The white page and dry pen that reflect your heart, is that the truth of life that you speak of?’ sound similar to the rap that U-Know Yunho performed on KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together season 3′, implying that Cream Team are mocking U-Know Yunho.

Furthermore, Daum’s Music Corner’s introduction to the single album is pouring oil on the flame. The introduction reads, “Cream Team’s Mazorkey and Amotai are pulling the bowstring taut and their targets are 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon of JYP and TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho of TVXQ,” and “A sharp admonition against those who act like the main characters of hip hop with their extravagant performances and so-so looks.” By blatantly stating U-Know Yunho and Taecyeon’s name, Daum solidified the fact that ‘Yes, You’ is a diss song aimed at the two singers.

As the controversy grew, Cream Team’s Amotai left a tweet on his Twitter account that read, “There isn’t a single part in my lyrics that directly singles out Ok Taecyeon or U-Know Yunho. If you feel guilty about that, call me out for it,” and “Unlike my lyrics, Mazorkey’s definitely has parts relating to Ok Taecyeon and U-Know Yunho.” By indirectly admitting that ‘Yes, You’ is a diss song aimed at the two singers, Amotai has only caused the controversy to rage further.

Taecyeon is up to serve his countr an now ready to enter military service. He declined his permanent residence visa and decide to enter the military instead. Taecyeon is planning to do active military work instead of public service work.

According to JYP Entertainment which was confirmed by Money Today Star News stating,

"Taecyeon revealed that he would like to give up his American permanent residence visa, and recently on December 1st, he received his official confirmation for his permanent residence cancellation. Taecyeon has voiced out thoughts of wanting to enter the military service. He submitted his documents on the 1st, and is clear on his actions. Now that Taecyeon wants to enter active duties, he recently received a re-examination. I think he was affected by the recent Yeon Pyeong Island shelling, so we want to respect his decision. Since Taecyeon is still at a young age, he won’t be entering the military immediately. He is currently active as an actor as well as continuing his studies, so we still need to watch over him.”

Well, good luck Taecyeon! One brave decision it is considering South Korea's situation right now against North Korea. Please when it is time for your enlistment, come back safely! Many fans will miss your beastly rap!

Taecyeon becomes the prodigy dancer for new drama, “Dream High”

2PM’s Taecyeon has been confirmed for the drama “Dream High“, and both fans as well as casual viewers from “Cinderella’s Sister” are demonstrating high enthusiasm for the choice.

Taecyeon will play the role of ‘Jin Gook‘, a prodigy in dancing yet a scoundrel in school. Although Jin Gook grew up rebelling against all school-related activities, Director Lee of ‘Kin Rin (Giraffe) Prep School’ encouraged his enrolment in the school. The rebel finds his hidden talent as a dancer in the artistic school, and dreams of becoming a world star. He’s also involved in a love story with ‘Hyemi’ (actress undisclosed), a bold and proud singer who deems herself as the second Jo Sumi, a Grammy-winning soprano.

Taecyeon’s acting in “Cinderella’s Sister” was praised far and wide for successfully portraying a man with an unrequited, yet unfaltering love. In this new work, he will showcase a similar devotion, but to dancing and demonstrating an adolescent’s hope.

Reportedly, Taecyeon and actor Kim Soo Hyun (SBS “Giant“) assisted each other with improving their performing and acting skills: Kim Soo Hyun adopted Taecyeon’s stage manners and performance, while Taecyeon received guidance on acting from Kim Soo Hyun. Kim Soo Hyun has been slotted to play ‘Song Sam Dong’, a rural dancer who’s as equally talented as Jin Gook.

Taecyeon stated, “I’m very excited at this new project. I’m especially happy that the drama is music-based and there are amazing seniors to guide me. I’ll give everything of myself to create a spectacular work”.
