Big Bang G-Dragon Is Wearing Women's Clothes on "When I Can't Sing" MV

As we reported earlier, Big Bang’s G-Dragon appeared as a cameo in the music video for “When I Can’t Sing.” It appears that the clothes that G-Dragon is wearing in the brief scene are actually women’s clothes!

G-Dragon is wearing a white t-shirt and shiny jacket. However, the jacket that he is wearing seems to be made for women. G-Dragon has worn women’s clothes in the past.

Netizens that have come across the picture stated, “I envy G-Dragon’s figure,” “Wow he is so skinny that women’s clothes look big on him,” “He is such a bad guy for making women feel bad.”

Se7en’s song “When I Can’t Sing” has been gaining a lot of attention for being a first producing collaboration between YGE and JYPE. It is also the first time that a YGE artist has received a song from somebody outside of YGE. Also, Big Bang will be releasing their new album on February 29.

Se7en Launches "Movie Date with Se7en" Event

Fans will get a chance to have a movie date with Se7en!

On February 2 Se7en announced on his twitter and me2day, “This is a grand plan prepared by Se7en! LUCKY DAZ Project! The first event is finally revealed! ‘Movie Date with Se7en.’”

With the start of this “Movie Date,” Se7en plans on having more guerilla type events. During this movie date, Se7en is supposed to have a surprise event planned as well.

The movie date will be held on February 5 at 7PM on Sunday night at the Cheong Dam Cine City CGV.

Se7en New Japanese Single to Be Released on January 18

Se7en's new Japanese single will be realesed on January 18 as announced in Se7en's Japanese home page. 

With this new album, Se7en will start his promotion activities in Japan, after he recently perfomermed during the "15th Anniversary YG Family Concert," where Se7en presented to his fans the new song for the first time.

Se7en himself announced his upcoming album through his Twitter account, posting a photo of him with the album's three different covers.

The album will be released in three versions and it will be available in music store from January 18. The first version will be a CD-only copy and the others will be two types of CD+DVD. In one DVD fans will be able to enjoy a making of the MV "Somebody Else", the other one will contain Se7en's different concerts and latest perfomances. However, the fans who buy only the CD will get a nice photo-booklet instead. 

The album will contain the new songs "Somebody Else", "Understand" and the digital single "Angel" that was realesed in November, the Japanese version of "Better Together" and "I Am Going Crazy."

On November 23rd, singer Se7en shared the photo above via his official me2day page and wrote, “This was at a recent fan meet in Japan. I was so glad to see my Japanese fans again, everyone say kimchi!”

In the photo, the singer has his back turned towards the audience and took the photo with the fans in the background.

Big Bang wins award at the “2011 Singapore Entertainment Awards"

On April 2nd, Se7en attended the “2011 Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA)” and came home with honorable awards for both him and labelmate Big Bang.

Held by the Singapore Press Holdings Ltd., the ceremony is thrown in support of the Chinese entertainment industry and awards those that excel in the music, movie, TV, radio, and concert area.

YG Entertainment revealed that Se7en took home the ‘Best Asia Performance’ award while Big Bang won the ‘Most Popular Korean Artist’ award, chosen through popularity votes and by industry experts.

Unforutunately for Big Bang, they were unable to attend due to a pre-scheduled activity.

Representatives of YG Entertainment stated, “Despite both Se7en and Big Bang being only at the beginning of their Chinese market advancements, this record is impressive to us. We’re looking forward to their promotions in the Chinese market."

SE7EN Bounces with Singapore’s Lucky 7

Singapore – The weekend, was gloomy, yet it didn’t stop anyone, especially Lucky Se7en to come down and enjoy his special “Digital Bounce” Album Promotion in Singapore on the February 19, 2011! The quick showcase in St. James Powerhouse was filled with green light and screams from all the fangirls, fanladies and fanboys! DJ Ken from 100.3FM hosted the show with his usual Singlish antics, hyping up the crowd before SE7EN coming out and started bouncing on the stage with ‘Digital Bounce’!

He sang hit songs such as “La la la” and “Better Together” to name a few, singing a total of six songs (why not 7 it up?). The first picture shows him greeting his fans and holding a fan’s ’7′ light! Super duper lucky Se7en alright! He greeted and talked to the fans in English (that debut in the US sure paid off!) and after the second song, he puts away his sunglasses, revealing his flawless face. All the fans, although an small but intimate little showcase with a simple stage, screamed and supported him hysterically.

“You guys will see me again tomorrow right? I’ll be having a fanmeeting at… well I don’t exactly know where, but you do know where, right?” he said, while fans chimed in, “IMM!” and he was grinning by the answer and continued, “Yes there, so I shall see you all there tomorrow yes?!”

A very timid blood type A group, Triple A. Choi Pilgang and DEE.P and the singer, Seungri, have all gathered together to work on Big Bang's youngest member, Seungri's solo album. He has come out of his youngest member image and have debuted into a solo singer and have worked greatly together and was able to show off his hidden talents and Pilgang and DEE.P were pleased with the results since they always looked at him as a young singer. They worked together and among them they ignored the stress and freely talked about the things they wanted and were able to finish Seungri's first debut album.


Please introduce the two producers yourself that you worked with during this solo album.
Seungri: They are two new producers who were accepted into YG, I worked with Pilgang for the Big Bang song, "I Don't Understand" and with DEE.P, he worked with Se7en on his last album.

As a producer, what was your first impression of Seungri?
Choi Pilgang: When I first came into YG, everything was very new and out of all the singers, Seungri was the first one that came up to me. When we were working together on the song "Open the Window", I thought, "Oh, I want to keep on working with him."

DEE.P: When I first saw Seungri, I was surprised because he was so friendly and nice that he didn't seem like a celebrity. I felt like he wasn't Big Bang's youngest member, Seungri, because he was very compassionate and made it easy for me to approach him and I'm still thankful for that.
As an artist, what's the first song that you showed to the audience?
Choi Pilgang: I don't remember exactly, but I think it was DJ DOC's 6th album, I Wanna.

DEE.P: It was "Better Days" by Doy

We talked a little bit about this during the beginning but can you introduce and talk about Seungri's solo album?
Seungri: I don't like singing sad songs. I wanted to make songs that were fun and lovely. That's why on this album, there are songs about love and songs that are towards the fans and of course it can never be 100%, but it's an album that I'm pretty satisfied with. I would be thankful if the fans felt that as well


C: Seungri worked on it very hard. Although it was done within a short time, I think it's an album that can't be measured with time. Isn't this Seungri's debut album as a singer/songwriter? (Laughs) I think that's enough to make it meaningful.


D: I think this is an album where Seungri's hidden potential was found. Seungri might have not known it himself. There's a certain soul contained in it and we've put it that much effort and I'm sure the people who are listening to it will be able to feel it.

Out of all the tracks, which song was the song that you guys had a hard time making? Can you tell us an episode?
SR: Rather than a hard time, probably the sync between the three of us? I think if we weren't in sync together then there's no way these great songs could have been produced. For "White Love", Pilgang was playing some chords and he told me to try singing it and then we made the melody and produced the song in 1 to 2 hours.

C: For this album, we didn't just sit in front of the computer and produce all the song, instead we played the guitar and other instruments as well and worked on it freely by putting in our inputs on the parts that we all liked.

D: Although Seungri sat down and wrote the lyrics, he would listen to the melody and write the lyrics while humming to it. He would write down whatever comes to his head during that time and I thought this was no joke. Seriously, a lot of songs were made that way and most of them are on the album.

These days, IU is receiving a lot of love and it was hard to miss about the fact that you guys are doing a duet together so we're curious about how that was.
SR: She sings really well. We thought about this for a long time and we thought IU would be perfect. Truthfully, before IU debuted, we said that we should sing a duet together when we get the chance. So it became a reality and I'm really thankful and thanks to her, the song turned out well. so I'm happy.

Were there any troubles while working on this album?
SR: While working on the album together, the three of us made a group called Triple A. All of us are A blood types, so we were careful about working together and there were no trouble.

C: I heard that he doesn't buy food a lot, but we only saw him buy food. It seems like he wanted to treat us well. (Laughs)

D: I was physically tired and I gained a bit of weight. We're a lot older and I think it's because the youngest member Seungri bought us a lot of food. I seriously think we tasted all the best food in all of Seoul.

As a writer and producer, you worked on all of the songs. Can you explain how you became the writer and how the producing process was?
SR: As the youngest member of Big Bang, I learned a lot by watching the older members. I always thought that when I get the chance, I would be just like them. I once again felt that while producing, making a song is this hard. I think that I was able to make an album that I'm satisfied with because I got a lot of help from the people around me.
All this time, you guys wrote songs that were deep and very new, but was there something in particular in this album that stressed you out during the production?
C: I think we were stressed at the fact that we all had to work together. We had to think about each other while working, so at times it was hard, but it was like "really tiring but it's fun."

D: There are times where I have to be stubborn as a writer, but during this time, I hoped that we could make music that matched well with Seungri and because I felt that way I worked hard to make sure that happened.

Let us know of your future plans.
SR: First of all, I'm going to work on the solo album as best as I can so that I have no regrets. Also, Big Bang's album album will be released soon and in February, we'll be having our Big Show and I'm working hard so that I can meet all the fans with a great new look.

C: Just like I've been working with Seungri, I will be working with other YG artists and making various styles of music. You can have high hopes for that.

D: I believe I'll continue my best to make great music and I think I'll be working hard.

Lastly, is there anything you want to say to each other?
SR: I think I was very lucky to be able to work with them and to have that time where we worked together. If it wasn't for them, then these great songs couldn't have been made and I couldn't have made it this far. I will do my hardest so that their hard work doesn't go to waste. "Thank you guys."

C: It's not just me, but all the YG family are hoping that Seungri's album does well. I hope that people who listen to his album will say, "He worked hard, this is a new side of him, and he sings well." "Make a bit hit! Seungri!"

D: This whole album is Seungri's debut album as a singer/songwriter. We watched him as he worked hard even though it was really hard. I believe that not only the fans, but to everyone who listens to his songs, they'll be able to hear his sincerity. "Fighting! I'll always be cheering for you!"

G-Dragon paid a visit to a high school junior in hospital

Despite his busy schedule, on January 18th at around 5pm, Kwon Jiyong paid a visit to a junior Dae-han at Seoul National University Hospital. Dae-han is a junior from Jiyong's alma mater, Seoul High School of Music and Arts. Dae-han met with a traffic accident in March, 2010 and till date he still has not regained consciousness. Dae-han's father left a message on GD&TOP's official website saying, although Dae-han has yet to regain consciousness but he can hear sounds. During the progress of recovery, if those important people from his memory can come to visit him, it would be a big help to his recovery. Understand that Jiyong is very busy but it would be great if he can pay a visit.


During the visit, Jiyong implored to Dae-han, "Dae-han ah, get up quickly, hyung has come."

Dae-han's father expressed his thanks to Jiyong and the fans through Sean and Se7en's twitters.

Se7en has been writing about the popular drama "Secret Garden" endlessly on his twitter.

He urged miss A's Jia to watch the drama when she had time, and tweeted things such as, "I was watching the drama by myself and I cried so hard biting the blanket. It's so sad; someone save Gil Laim."

When someone tweeted him saying that it was a bad drama, he expressed annoyance and replied, "What are you talking about? It's a work of art that allows me to rest in happiness for two hours per week." When he found out that one of the characters had a twitter, he proceeded to talk to the actor as if he was the character himself.

YG's CEO finds the imitations of his voice entertaining

The voice imitation of YG Entertainment's CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, has been a popular variety show item for YG artists such as Big Bang, Se7en, 2NE1, and Gummy.

For the first time, the CEO himself spoke up on his voice imitations with Star News on January 12th by stating, "I've definitely seen our artists imitate my voice on a variety of variety programs. They've never done it once in front of me, so seeing them do it on variety programs made me think, 'Ah! So that's what they do when they hang out on their own.' But of course, I don't feel that it’s offensive at all. It's actually quite funny."

When asked to choose those he thought imitated him the best, he chose Psy, and Big Bang's G-Dragon and Seungri.

He reasoned, "I did see Jiyong and Psy imitate me on a broadcast program, and I laughed at how well they imitated me. Seungri did it at our YG Family concert last year and I thought he pulled it off quite well."

This year, the Korean wave will once again sweep through Malaysia’s entertainment industry: YG’s singer, Se7en will be the first artiste to lead YG Family to Malaysia.

YG Entertainment was established in 1998 and is the biggest entertainment company in Korea. The YG Family members including the Asia’s most popular artist BIGBANG, Se7en, who debuted in America few years ago; the powerful and dynamic girls’ group 2NE1; and Gummy who has a beautiful and strong vocal.
Halo Music is planning to heat up the Korean wave in Malaysia and the first step will be to bring Se7en to Malaysia. Currently, they are working out on this project with some sponsors, so hopefully in the early of 2011, fans will be cheering and seeing Se7en in person in Malaysia.

BIGBANG Concert to be held in 2011
On top of that, BIGBANG’s concert is the most frequently requested by Malaysia’s fans. According to Halo Music, they are discussing the concert with an organiser. So hopefully in 2011, BIGBANG will have their first concert in Malaysia! Before you go all crazy on this news, two of BIGBANG members, Top & GD will be releasing their latest album in Malaysia so be sure to purchase the original album!
