Hangeng advises fans to focus on studying: Don’t use your parent’s money to buy my stuff

After Super Junior-M participated in the recording of 《快乐蓝天下•中国梦想秀》 (Happiness Under the Blue Sky – China Dreams Show) to help their fans achieve their dreams last Sunday, former SJ-M captain Hangeng also participated in the recording of the same episode of the show yesterday. This is the first time after Hangeng broke away from SJ-M where both parties performed on the “same stage”. On the same day of his recording, Hangeng , with the identity of YISHION’s spokesmen, also partook in YISHION TEEBOX Ribbon-cutting ceremony at YISHION’s flag store titled “Fashionable YISHION, More Trend-Setting Faster”, where he interacted with a thousand ecstatic fans. However, Hangeng said some words from the heart to those fans, “In the future, don’t use your parents’ money to buy my stuff, don’t skip class to welcome me at the airport, there’s no need for that, I hope all of you can focus on your studies!”

Earlier, when SJ-M participated in the recording of 《中国梦想秀》, the topic of “Hangeng” is still taboo even though SJ-M performed 《Super Girl》, which was sung when Hangeng was still in SJ-M; and before the media interview, SJ-M’s manager expressed that any questions related to Hangeng must be filtered beforehand. Yesterday Hangeng expressed that he did not wish to dwell of the subject of himself becoming taboo to SJ-M, he lightly said: “Maybe every company have a different way of dealing with problems, even though I broke away from the team, we still keep in contact in private!” Regarding the rumor that some fans will carry out some aggressive actions, Hangeng expressed that he does not know the details but believes his fans would not do something like that because they are all very rational! Talking about the recording of the same episode of《中国梦想秀》as SJ-M, outsiders view this as Hangeng and SJ-M’s first reunion, Hangeng, however, expressed that the only intention was to help fans realize their dream, and asks that outsiders not complicate things.

Airport security really makes me speechless! When I was examined they scanned my head for a long time, have no idea what they’re scanning at, when she finished I felt like she didn’t have enough fun with scanning, she took out another device and scanned my head all over again. I asked “What are you checking with that?” She said “For explosives.” I nearly went insane, did she think I had a bomb in my head?

Heechul and Han Geng Talk About SM Entertainment!

Heechul has been going off about slave contracts to everyone who will listen these days and his latest interview in GQ has caused his biggest controversy yet.

When he said on his radio show, Heechul’s Youngstreet, that “a man must live with loyalty,” many fans believed it was directed towards JYJ and Hankyung.

In his new interview, he said, “Of course, I as well, have a lot of problems with the company. But, I don’t think there’s any reason for me to express that outside. Honestly, “we can’t make money”? No. These days, everyone keeps saying slave contract, slave contract but the really laughable thing is — what slave buys his parents something like a building and what slave can go around in a car and what slave can go drinking?"

Former Super Junior member Hankyung also talked about SM Entertainment recently in the newest issue of Marie Claire China.

“There were a lot of entertainment news that portrays Korean entertainment companies’ with harsh demands: The artistes do not only receive a hellish sort of cruel training, not allowed to be in a relationship, not allowed to have personal feelings, all has to be collective and aware of the content (T/N: I think what they are referring here is the things artistes say in the public). So much so that, some artistes are being forced by the company to do stuff outside their profession, for instance escort services and so on.

When I relayed what the content was, Han Geng explained, exaggerated a little: “SM has no such stipulations. I am not aware if other companies have such stuff/mess. Anyway, it does not exist in my company.” Isn’t this something what the company has imprinted on him? The general expression is to not speak randomly, think before you speak.”

Hangeng wins lawsuit over SM Entertainment

On December 21st, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, Super Junior’s Hankyung, in the lawsuit he filed against his agency, SM Entertainment.

The Department of Justice stated, “All three contracts – from the January 2003 contract, the altered contract from February 2007, and the affiliated contract from December 2007 – do not exist.”
Hankyung had filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in December of 2009 claiming, “I cannot maintain an unjust contract.”

Meanwhile, an SM Entertainment representative spoke with MyDaily in the aftermath of the decision and stated, “We cannot accept the result. We will file an immediate appeal to reverse the decision.”

SM to Appeal the Ruling over Hangeng’s Lawsuit

Super Junior’s Hangeng won his lawsuit against SM Entertainment to void his contract.  Seoul Central District Court  civil court 30th division (head judge Noh Mankyung) ruled in favor of the plaintiff on December 20th in the case filed by group Super Junior’s Chinese member Hangeng against the management company SM Entertainment.  The court held that the contracts made between Hangeng and SM in January 2003, February 2007 and December 2007 were void.

Hangeng filed a lawsuit in December 2009 against the management company SM to confirm the invalidity of the contract.  Afterward, Hangeng ended all contacts with SM.  Then, SM revealed their stance claiming, “we want to solve this by communication for Super Junior.”  However, when they could not get in touch with Hangeng, they chose an attorney to act for them in the lawsuit.

In 2001, Hangeng was discovered through an audition in China and worked as the Chinese member of Super Junior since 2005.

Hangeng would be joining Hunan TV’s New Year’s Eve party to make it up to fans

Because of his lawsuit with his Korean management company, local super popular idol Han Geng missed the opportunity to show up at the 2009 Hunan TV “New Year’s Eve Concert”，leaving a lot of the viewers and fans disappointed. Mango’s New Year’s Eve Party would be returning this year, and whether Han Geng, whose partnership with Hunan TV runs deep, would attend this year’s “New Year’s Eve Night” after “bailing out” last year became the focal point for many of the “Gengfans”. Today, the reporters rang up Han Geng’s publicity co-ordination assistant Xiao Ping, and she has already confirmed the news that Han Geng would be joining Hunan TV’s “New Year’s Eve Concert”, and also mentioned that “Han Geng will sing several classical songs from his new album.”

After successfully going solo, Han Geng will make it up to fans by attending the New Year’s Eve Party
After experiencing the major turning-point in his career last year, Han Geng who decided to leave Super Junior and go solo has seen a great harvest in his career. Aside from filming for advertisements, participating in various performances and activities, and releasing his solo album 《Geng Xin》, he has also received recognition from the industry in the form of numerous awards. In addition, in the martial arts epic 《Da Wu Sheng》 directed by Gao Xiaosong, Han Geng is getting in touch with the movie world for the first time and is acting opposite Wu Chun in the movie, as though he has the intentions to break into the film industry. In one of the search engine’s newest male celebrity’s popularity chart, Han Geng was listed in 7th place, signifying his immensely popular idol status.
However, as a television viewer, everyone was still brooding slightly over the fact that Han Geng wasn’t able to attend the “09 Mango New Year’s Eve Party” as promised, and the question whether they were able to celebrate the meaningful point of time of “New Year’s” with their favourite became the focal point for “Gengfans”.
With regards to this, after making a call to Han Geng’s assistant Xiao Ping, a confirmation has been received from them. She mentioned that “Han Geng has already signed a contract with Hunan TV, and is confirmed to attend the New Year’s Eve Concert that would be held at Guangzhou on the 31st.”

Organiser gives their support, Han Geng may sing three new songs
As for the songs that he would be performing on the concert, Xiao Ping said: “At the moment, the program directors have set an initial count of three songs, and all of them are from the new album 《Geng Xin》. However, since the song titles for the performancehave not been decided on, I am unable to reveal anything.”
Later on, the reporter made a call to the program directing group of Hunan TV’s “New Year’s Eve Party”, and the program director who was in charge of making arrangements with regards to that mentioned that, “Han Geng is deeply adored by a large number of audiences and fans, so the team is making considerations to allocate a time slot for the performance of 2 to 3 songs in order to let the audiences arrive in high spirits and leave satisfactorily.” According to reports, keeping in line with the concert’s themes “warmth” and “care”, and also in accordance with the enthusiastic and joyful atmosphere, the program-directing group has temporarily included songs that are full of romance and emotions such as 《Umbrella》 and 《Say No》, and also the “Geng-style dance hits” like 《Fire》.

Han Geng wishes to try rock music for his upcoming album, would like to collaborate with new rock bands

In May this year, Han Geng who was embroiled in a contract termination controversy braved all odds and appeared as the music industry’s new energy at the starting-up press conference to show support. After submitting to the five big figures in the music industry his work that he returned to the Mainland Chinese music industry with, he received praise and commendation from these five big music industry figures, and they all expressed desire to chip in for his new album. In his first individual album, there was a song recorded that was produced by Yuan Wei Ren. As of today, Han Geng’s debut film is fervently in the process of shooting, and the director is no other than one of the five big music industry figures Gao Xiao Song. When accepting an exclusive interview from <Yin Yue Feng Yun Bang>, Han Geng expresses that it is nothing short of rare to be able to attract so many music industry warriors fighting for their dreams, and he really respects and admires them. At every compilation album’s release, he himself very much looks forward to it, and after closely listening he feels that the quality and standard of these music figures who make original works are all very good, and if there is a chance he would very like to work with them in his next album.

According to reports, Han Geng’s second album is already in the process of song selection. Han Geng, who is always changing himself and trying out new things, he expressed that he was very surprised after listening to the fifth “Red Bull New Energy Music Project” album. Because usually, he likes to listen to English music (American and European), and the styles of all the 10 rock bands were pretty internationalized. What he did not think of was that teenagers who joined the “Red Bull New Energy Music Project” could compose outstanding pieces of rock music. And, during an interview, Han Geng revealed that he hopes that in his new album, he can add in the element of rock, and works with the new rock bands. He also looks forward to a chance to collaborate with new rock voices in China to release more energy and passion during performance.
