Winter Padded Vests Can Be Flattering… Well, They Are on SNSD

Winter is here, and we all have our share of padded jackets stashed away in our closets somewhere. For fashion conscious women, rarely do we let these bulky jackets that are unflattering on our figures see the light of day…That is, unless it’s really really cold. However, fashion trendsetters Tiffany and Yuri of SNSD have proved that padded outerwear can be as cute and attractive as any other piece of clothing in our closets.

On Saturday’s episode of MBC’s “Music Core,” the two ladies of SNSD snatched away both female and male viewers with their adorable winter outfits. Both wore a down-padded vests by Juicy Couture with stripped knits.

Tiffany donned a grey and light pink stripped knit, matched with a pink padded vest and knitted mittens, and gave off a lovely, girlish charm. Yuri, on the other hand, wore a navy colored striped tee with a white vest for a more refined and stylish look.

So there you have it! Padded vests can be attractive, if layered and styled with the right accessories and top.

SNSD’s Tiffany sheds tears as she talks about her family

On the November 23rd airing of KBS2 ‘Star Life Theater‘, the ladies of SNSD revealed what their everyday lives are like off-camera.

SNSD’s Tiffany showed her soft side as she shared a story about her family. She began by revealing that when she joined the group, she was only 16 years old. “It had only been two years since my mother had passed away, and I didn’t know it at the time but I was lost and a little rebellious. The only thing that made me happy was music.”

“And the more I worked, the further my relationship with my father suffered. I thought about it, and I realized I have spent very little time with him. It breaks my heart“, she admitted, unable to hold back her tears.

But on the same episode, Tiffany was able to put on her first successful musical performance, earning the high praises and cheers of the audience members.

Taeyeon comments on the term “SNSD otaku” on ‘Radio Star

SNSD‘s Taeyeon called out a host of ‘Radio Star‘ for using a negative term for Girls’ Generation fans on the recent broadcast of the show.

Host Kim Gookjin commented on Taeyeon’s kiss scenes during her previous casting in the musical, ‘The Sun’s Song‘. He asked, “Wouldn’t the ‘Soh-Duks’ dislike it?” referring to the mingling of the Korean word for the Japanese term “otaku” and SNSD’s full Korean name, SohNyeoShidae. Kim Gookjin further explained, “SNSD otakus.”

The SNSD members seemed slightly taken aback by the usage as Taeyeon replied, “That’s a negative expression.” The hosts expressed that they did not know about the negative connotation to the term, and Yoon Jong Shin joked, “The youngest is telling us that it’s a ‘negative expression’. Let’s not use the phrase again.”

Tiffany on preparing for ‘Fame’: “I was rehearsing 12 hours a day”

On November 7th, upcoming musical ‘Fame‘ held a press showcase at the Dong Soong Art Centerin Seoul with cast members Son Ho Young, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, SNSD‘s Tiffany, CSJH‘sLina, Trax‘s Jungmo, Kon, and more.

Tiffany, who’ll be making her musical debut through the role of Carmen Diaz, revealed, “I practiced for 12 hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.”

She continued, “In rehearsals, I would have to concentrate on my singing, acting, and dancing — there was so much to do that I didn’t know what to focus on. My SNSD groupmates, who had previous musical experience, told me to just concentrate on whatever was necessary. I think that’s the best way to put it.”

Commenting on the intense choreography, Tiffany said, “In one of SNSD’s performances, I had to dance on a moving table with wheels, so in comparison, it’s not that difficult. Engaging with the audience without a camera is so new and different for me, however. I’m still learning.”

‘Fame’ is one of the most popular musicals in the world, as it was viewed by nearly 4 million people from 1995 to 2006. With an estimated revenue of 56,000,000 pounds, it’s the best-selling West End musicals to date. ‘Fame’ has gained international recognition, with over 300 productions shown in 16 different countries.

‘Fame’ will play at the Olympic Park Woori Finance Art Hall starting on November 25th.

[News] Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica to Appear on 'Radio Star'!

Three musical stars of Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica, to appear on “Radio Star”.

The three girls will appear on an upcoming episode of “Radio Star”, a corner of MBC’s “Golden Fishery”, on November 9th. They will have a talk battle against the four MCs, Kim Gookjin, Kim Goora, Yoon Jongshin, and Kyuhyun.

This will be the first time for any Girls’ Generation member to appear on an official talk show since they began their third album promotions.

This episode of “Radio Star”, which is themed as a Musical Star Special, was already recorded on November 2nd. Besides Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica, Park Haemi and Im Taekyung were there as well.

There has been talk that the guests on the show make surprising remarks, making the entire studio burst in laughter throughout.

One representative of “Radio Star” said, “The atmosphere of the recording was very good because everybody burst in laughter unexpectedly,” and also hinted, “Of course Girls’ Generation was funny, but Park Haemi, who is usually known for her witty remarks, was no different. Im Taekyung was unexectedly a tough rival as well.”

6 members of SNSD were picked as models for famous cosmetic brand, Christian Dior.

According to representatives from the cosmetic line, SNSD who were selected as Christian Dior’s
advertisement models had completed their shooting sessions for the popular cosmetic brand.

It is rather an unusual case for Korean stars to be selected as models for Christian Dior. SNSD are also the first Korean girl group to model for Christian Dior’s cosmetic products.

SNSD to Participate in Japanese Music Festival, Minus Tiffany

SNSD flew to Japan nowadays to participate in the 2010 FNS Music Festival. They’ll perform alongside loads of of Japan’s most well-liked artists, including SMAP, Arashi, V6, AKB48, EXILE, Tube, KinKi Kids, and Ken Hirai. The festival may be held on Saturday.
A representative from SM Entertainment stated that Tiffany, who injured her left knee throughout a performance a couple of weeks ago, won’t be performing . “The girls will perform at the annual music fest although member Tiffany won’t participate in the show since she is still recovering from her knee injury.”
The FNS Music Festival originated in 1974 and has been produced and hosted every single single year since by Fuji Network System and Fuji Television.

Tiffany’s lookalike dances to “Hoot” with SNSD on ‘Star King’

Yuri feels pressured by the focus on SNSD’s legs

SNSD’s Yuri shared her thoughts about the popularity of SNSD’s legs in Japan during her appearance on the November 30th episode of SBS’s “Strong Heart.”

Yuri began by stating, “In Japan, they call us the ‘beautiful legs group’ because they think our legs are beautiful. Honestly though, our legs aren’t that pretty. Only a few of us have nice legs, but they keep the focus point on our legs a lot.”

SNSD’s hit song, “Genie,” was especially popular for its ‘kick’ dance. Their shorts and choreography accentuated and emphasized their long legs, but Yuri explained that the pressure was too much.

“All nine of us do not have pretty legs. Sooyoung, Tiffany, and a few others have very nice long legs but the rest of us are either short or thick. My legs, realistically, have a bit of meat on them as well so there’s a lot of pressure when cameras focus on them“, she confessed.

Yuri then revealed the secrets behind managing their legs, “Our legs get more makeup than our faces in order to hide any scars and bruising.”

SNSD Fan Preparing Tiffany Get Well Print Ad 'Attracts Attention'
