If I had a VIP preview, I want to call and invite her."

"Hong Soo Hyun and KARA's Seungyeon were co-stars whose characters I hated so much in the drama to the point that I even felt bad. Whereas Tae Hee noona and I had good chemistry together. Actor Lee Ki Woo recalls the first time he met Kim Tae Hee

Actor Lee Ki Woo, who plays the role of Ryu Ki Woo on MBC‘s ‘Standby‘, recounted the time he first met actress Hallyu Kim Tae Hee. On the June 19th episode of SBS‘ ‘Strong Heart‘, the actor stated, “There were a lot of ulzzangs around me when I was in high school. At that time, the popular ulzzangs in my neighborhood were Jun Ji Hyun, Seo Ji Young, Lee Min Jung, Lee Jin, and Song Hye Gyo.” “I was active as a member of a ski team in university. There was a time when we all gathered with the other college ski teams at a ski resort, and there was this one beautiful girl who stood out among the crowd. That was Kim Tae Hee,” he said. Kim Tae Hee is known to have been a member of Seoul National University’s ski team. Lee Ki Woo continued, “Wherever Kim Tae Hee would go, all of the male students would follow her. She was the dream girl of all the male students.” This prompted MC Shin Dong Yup to ask the actor, “If you had to choose between SISTAR‘s Bora and Kim Tae Hee, who would it be?” Lee Ki Woo revealed earlier that he was a huge fan of Bora, who made a surprise appearance on the program. Without hesitation, the actor selected Bora, causing the others to laugh out loud.

The Hallyu wave’s ever-growing influence in Japan

The term ‘Hallyu’ is now a part of everyday Korean vernacular, but its international influence is exceeding what anyone had ever expected. Glimpses of the Hallyu wave can now be seen regularly on the streets of Tokyo, Japan.

For starters, Jang Geun Suks recent concert at the Tokyo Dome drew 45,000 fans, causing much commotion on the streets. His fans eagerly bought devil-horn headbands to showcase their fandom, and promotional posters for the concert were well-scattered on the streets of Ginza as well as Tokyo.

Not only that, billboards promoting 2PM-2AM‘s joint concert were visibly seen from the major streets of Akasaka, Ginza, Roppongi Hills, and more, informing fans of the boys’ January show. One fan remarked, “I personally like INFINITE. The more that boy bands like 2PM and 2AM gain popularity, the younger K-pop fans seem to get.

A billboard of girl group After School also hangs from a department store building in Roppongi with aChristmas promotion in Shibuya, and actress Kim Tae Hee‘s endorsement advertisement can be easily spotted in the Japanese subway stations.

Hallyu is proving to have a significant impact on the Japanese lifestyle, to the point where an organization understandably protested Korean TV in front of the FujiTV building.

But the Hallyu-effect is proving to change not just entertainment in Japan, but the way the Japanese think about Korea.

A tour guide who has been living in Japan for over 15 years remarked, “Even just 10 years ago, the Japanese resented and belittled anything from Korea. But ever since actor Bae Yong Joon catalyzed a Hallyu boom [with dramas like 'Winter Sonata'], the wave has been sweeping Japan since.

Kim Tae Hee’s bare face heats up the internet

A picture of Kim Tae Hee’s bare face is heating up the internet!

Recently revealed on an online community site, the picture captured Kim Tae Hee’s bare face. Although she didn’t have any makeup on, her clear skin and superior facial features still shone through.

The actress also revealed her bare face on MBC’s “My Princess“. During one particular scene, she washed her face and revealed her makeup-free face, which actresses are naturally fearful of.

Netizens commented, “That doesn’t even look like her bare face. She still shines“, “She looks even younger!“, “What a doll“, and “Is she trying to live by herself in this world? Tell me your secrets!“.

Maybe you’re born with it, maybe it’s Kim Tae Hee.
