Lee Hi Star News Interview (130326)

An exclusive interview with Lee Hi for the music video filming of her title song ‘Rose’ from her first studio album.

The young singer Lee Hi seems quiet yet solid. Unlike her outer appearance, this girl who is still in her teens is someone with strong dedication especially when it comes to her favorite music genre. Her quiet confidence also influenced her success last year. How could you not be interested in this music enthusiast? Her success is of course due to the full support given by one of the nation’s biggest agencies, YG Entertainment (in short YG).

Lee Hi who placed second in K-Pop Star last year, joined YG, and made her debut later in October with ‘1,2,3,4’ that swept various music charts. Earlier this month, she released her first solo album ‘First Love Part 1’ and the title song ‘It’s Over’ captured the hearts of many fans. Her full album is scheduled to be released on March 28 with the addition of five tracks to Part 1 including ‘Rose’, ‘Fool’, ‘Because’, ‘I’m Weird’ and ‘1,2,3,4’.

Lee Hi recently filmed for the music video of the title song ‘Rose’ from her first album in a studio located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do. In the dreamy-like set, Lee Hi who was dressed as a goddess in pure white was seen immersed in her acting.

Even though the shooting took place overnight, there was no sign of her wearied at all. The more times you shot the same scene, the harder it would be. Born in September 1996, this sixteen year-old girl already know how to enjoy music.

Lee Hi met with Star News on the filming site of Rose. She threw a shy peculiar smile yet her eyes lit up when talking about music.

“This third music video is less awkward than before. Shooting music videos is fun. ‘Rose’ is a lot different compared to the previous songs. It has this dark and mature feeling. This time I’m gonna show a whole new color contrary to the songs that I’ve sung in ‘K-Pop Star’. Through this song, I want to prove that I can do a variety of music. It looked difficult during the recording but it actually ended faster than I thought it would be. So I think it’s a really good song and it fits me well. Haha.”

Just like Lee Hi said, ‘Rose’ is of R&B House genre composed by YG producer Teddy and the lyrics were written together with Song Baek Kyeong from 1TYM. The song has strong beats and the rhythm is fast but has a sad melody. Compared to the retro-soul ‘1,2,3,4’ and the jazz ‘It’s Over’, this song is of the type that one would expect from YG. On the other hand, it’s a new challenge for Lee Hi. For this music video, she had to change into more than ten costumes to try several transformations.

“The title is ‘Rose’, and roses are beautiful but they have thorns. Apart from its meaning that is about woman’s love, I was also stylized as rose. So it’s fun to look at the costumes and details of the props. Oh I’m on a diet right now and I got praised a lot that I looked prettier than before so that makes me think that I should work harder on my singing instead. Because I am a singer.”

Lee Hi’s serious stance for music have increased the expectations of the staff involved in the music video filming.

This time ‘Rose’ is directed by Han Sa Min who also filmed Big Bang and 2NE1 music videos as well as Lee Hi’s previous songs ‘1,2,3,4’ and ‘It’s Over’.

Director Han said, “This is my third work with Lee Hi and I can see that her emotions and facial expressions have improved a lot,” and “it seems that she did a lot of practice,” he praised.

“Roses are beautiful but prickly just like Lee Hi even though she’s still young and innocent there’s also a side of her that is mature and lyrical. So we’re trying to showcase her multiple charms by expressing her as a rose in the modern and dream-like atmosphere.”

Big Bang’s stylist Ji Eun, who was in charge of Lee Hi’s fashion said, “In ‘Rose’ music video, we want to give the impression that Lee Hi is more mature than before.” “But it doesn’t necessarily mean than her existing appeal will disappear, so we still shoot the music video with the the ‘feminine girl’ concept,” she smiled.

The staff that participated in the filming of ‘Rose’ music video is already looking forward to Lee Hi’s ‘Rose’ promotional activities.
On the other hand Lee Hi’s ‘Rose’ music video and first full album will be released on March 28.

JYJ Speaks Out #2 – Talking About Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun And Kim Junsu

Kim Jaejoong

Heodang (Lacking): Though Cha Mu Won of ‘Protect the Boss’ is a chaebol, there is definitely something he can’t do. His weakness is that he’s not good at fighting because all he does is lock himself up in his office and study. I expressed that in a very ‘heodang (lacking)’ way. I’m like that too. Because I’m not that active, I’m not that good at ball games. In the drama, I was made to look like I was even really good at sports, but in real life, I have a very ‘heodang’ nature. (Yoochun) I think it would be best.. if Jaejoong didn’t play ball games like soccer or basketball in front of others. (laughter)

Ji Sung: Even I could see myself getting better with every new episode. It would have been impossible if it weren’t for Ji Sung. He must have been busy enough studying his own character, but he took care of me and helped me run my lines. I think the scenes in which we were acting together came alive because I normally feel comfortable around Ji Sung.

Individual Activities: As you all know, we started pursuing individual activities to promote JYJ as we were unable to appear on music programs. Our individual activities became a great opportunity for us to promote JYJ. It started like that but we feel the charm of being an actor or a musical actor more and more as time goes on. (Yoochun) But personally, I don’t feel confident about pursuing a career in musicals. I think I’d be compared too much to Junsu. (laughter)

Park Yoochun

Cha Mu Won (Kim Jaejoong) of ‘Protect the Boss’: He took on his character very well. I found myself naturally falling into the drama as I watched it. I also feel envious of Jaejoong because he took on a character that could present something different from his original image and did so very well. It’s so much that if I ever get the chance, I’d like to play a character similar to the one that Jaejoong portrayed. I’m not joking when I saw that I could see this unknown aura around Jaejoong. So I thought, ‘So this is the power of Jaejoong. (Jaejoong) Thank you. My senior~

Song Yoo Hyun: While playing Song Yoo Hyun in MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’, there were many moments when I thought, ‘If this were me, I would have exploded.’ But I acted with the understanding that, ‘It could happen because it’s Song Yoo Hyun.’ Though I can’t say that there weren’t moments when I felt frustrated, I laid down the judgment that it was because I was too unskilled in my portrayal of Song Yoo Hyun. If I felt frustrated, wouldn’t Song Yoo Hyun feel a little frustrated too? It was only after I was done filming the drama that I began to think ‘Couldn’t I have been able to express this in another way?’ instead of thinking that the script wasn’t helping with the frustration I had.

The villain’s part: I want to try playing the villain. I think the biggest reason is because I don’t look like a bad guy. Though I want to try taking on a role that pulls me away from the image I have now, I think it would only be right for me to take on such a role after I’ve become more experienced. For now, I want to try everything, regardless of the character.

Kim Junsu

Drama: It’s not that I’m not interested, it’s just that I had already taken part in two musicals this year and wanted to take a break instead of pursuing solo activities. And because each of the other members had his own schedules drawn for his respective drama, I believed it was only right for me to take that time to support them. I’d like to try acting in a drama someday. But it looked so tiring for Jaejoong and Yoochun to stay up all night filming, so I’m in a dilemma.

Together: We try to make every stage one that everyone can enjoy together. We don’t just show what we want to show and end the concert when we’re done, we try to work together with the crowd. We casually ask how they’re doing, and we immediately answer any questions they give us. Because there are a lot of restrictions on our activities that include broadcasted ones, we try to create a more free atmosphere when we meet with our fans and we work hard to satisfy them with our concerts. Though we like dramas and musicals, we started out as singers and we want to be singers forever.

G-Dragon's Interview on 1st Look Magazine

1st Look Magazine Cover Story: Rule The Nation

G-Dragon is suggesting a new standard in the Korean pop music industry. His thoughts on fashion, music, musicians and K-wave. His thoughts are bigger and broader than expected.

The era of dance artists and idol groups started in the 1990s. Despite its short history, the people who changed the trend of their time will always be there. People like Seo Taiji & Boys, Deuce, and H.O.T set some standards through their music and dance before. Isn’t G-Dragon someone who can succeed this kind of legacy? This enfant terrible, who is the leader of Big Bang and also a solo musician himself, is only 24 years old. Of course, his beginning was not too different from other idol stars. Being selected at an early age, he was raised as a star going through the stage of a so-called “trainee.” However, G-Dragon did not simply constrain himself with singing and dancing, he is now working as an idea bank and a producer who controls fashion, attitude, choreography, stage design, album art work, not to mention the music composing. This is why we cannot just call him and Big Bang a mere idol group.

“YG made all things possible -- the environment, the way people work and everything. Family-ship is really strong here. We are all like brothers, so we are really not “working” but “playing” together. When we work with the intention of producing a hit song and a very popular music, it never works out well. Rather, when we work while hanging out with a drink or playing games and suddenly come up with an idea, that's when the song really works well. Even during holidays I would come to the office and hang out with my brothers, working and hanging out with them. I think this is the reason why I can work more than others and make good music.”

However, these days, G-Dragon is mentioned more as a fashion icon than as a musician. Some even parody his bold and adventurous fashion style. We should acknowledge that G-Dragon has a part in the popularity of Jung Hyung-don, who insists the "no mercy" fashion sense to be his unique style and challenges GD, or the web-based cartoon “Fashion King,” that constantly mocks fashion.

“I find it fun. Infinity Challenge is indeed my favorite program as a common viewer. I found out about Fashion King from my fans but I haven’t read them yet. I’m sure it's also fun since the title is Fashion King. I think it is really nice as a celebrity to be mentioned continuously without having to be involved.”

He, who is passionate not only about music but also about fashion, is now planning a new project.

“Whenever I go travel abroad, I go to stylish shops and meet wonderful friends. However, in contrast, I cannot think of a place in Korea that people from other countries should come check out. I want to make a cool and stylish space with friends who I think are really cool and stylish. Not a mere business that sells clothes and various items, but a cultural place where you’d go to see, feel and learn Korea’s street style. A place where everything is gorgeous, from the styles of employees to the interior, music, products. A place that is totally worth visiting. I am preparing for this project slowly, waiting for the right time.”

Aside from fashion, what he is really plugged into these days is his second solo album.

“I am preparing for my solo album, but because of lots of Japanese events and commercial schedules, it is getting delayed a little.”

His first solo album, Heartbreaker is indeed an album that showed the essence of G-Dragon. From beginning to end, from outside to inside, we could feel that he poured all his energy to make it as “his album” wholeheartedly.

That is probably when we started seeing G-Dragon as a producer and a musician, not just an idol singer.

“I consider my albums as my diary. Something that can remind you of your thoughts, your way of thinking and your energy at the time you made it. Therefore, every album has a special place in my heart. However, now that I listen to them, the songs sound very childish and embarrassing. It feels like I merely “exploded” my energy prematurely. This album will be a lot more mature.”

Also, his solo album will be hip-hop based, which is his musical root. It will be different from his previous one that was more of a mixture of various genres and styles.

“I personally think that all the good music is already out. Now the key is how to mix them well to make it your own. Because of this, artists in and outside of Korea are trying different music instead of separating genres. This album will have lots of hip-hop elements. I had slow-tempo tracks and pop-style tracks in my previous album but this time, every music will be hip-hop based. You will think, “oh, it’s hip-hop” as soon as you listen to it.”

Meanings of words change as the society changes. In old days “musicians” can survive just by writing songs, showing great singing skills or focusing on music, but the situation has changed. Nowadays, if you want to label yourself as a “musician”, you need to control your fashion, performance, visual elements and make them your own. This corresponds with GD’s desire of wanting to be a “new standard.”

“The reason why I wanted to become a singer was because singers looked really cool back then. No other reason, it was just because they looked really cool. I thought, “wow, I just want to live like them.” Even now, their music and performances are really cool. However, these days, there are no more musicians who are as cool as them. This is why I want to show the best answer to people. I’d be thrilled if I become the standard in terms of good music -- that will make you decide what is good and what is not -- among the overflowing singers these days. Yes, you can say that is my dream.”

In the young age when you are supposed to be busy with just building yourself up, it is astonishing that he sees the music industry as a whole and tries to find his place in it. However, his mature thinking does not stop there. His duty is even heavier in the situation when K-pop and K-fashion are getting attention from all over the world, much recognized as “K-wave.”

“In Korea's current state, whatever you do will work and people are going to pay attention to it. Rather than considering it as a temporary “wave,” we should grow this so that our Korean music can have its voice in the world. If all the musicians can work together to show good music and grow the music industry well, we can make a market that is as big as Japan’s, and even further, we might be able to lead the world’s music market. We are now given a really good opportunity and I am so worried that we might blow it.”

This is why he's working on his solo album in a slow pace. He wants to produce good music and to be a standard, and because he wants to pull Korean popular music a step higher, he has lots of thoughts and worries. Nobody asked or forced him to do it, but why is he carrying this enormous and heavy responsibility on his shoulder? An enthusiastic cheer-up for GD, who is stepping forward one by one each time with the heavy load.

SNSD's interview with Malaysia ''The Star'' newspaper

Malaysia’s ‘The Star’ newspaper tried to interview the girls while they were in Jeju Island for the Wonderful Jeju Super Concert on April 24th but due to their schedules, the interview could only be conducted through e-mails. Here are some contents of the interview which was published in the Star2 section of the paper on June 12th:

2010 was a very good year for Girls’ Generation. How are you going to top that?

Taeyeon: I’m not sure how we will prepare our concept for our performance, but we will never disappoint our fans.
Yuri: Many fans like our style. We will come back with a perfect stage which is full of SNSD magnetism.
Sooyoung: We always try to show fans a mature and varied performance. We hope they will love our new album, Mr Taxi (released in Japan last month).

People always accuse Asians of copying the West in music but when Lady Gaga released her single. Bom This Way, recently, she was accused of plagiarising your Be Happy by your international fans. What does this say about the growth of K-pop?

Taeyeon: Yes, many people throughout the world are interested in Korean pop music. But it is more important how K-pop applies to various styles rather than just being copied in other countries.
Yuri: There’s a craze for popular Korean cultures in many Asian countries because Korean pop music is a successful combination of the old and new.
Sooyoung: It is inevitable to refer to western music because it was developed earlier than Korean music. However, K-pop also reinterprets its style well.
Seohyun: Recently, Korean pop music has become successful in the western market. I think it is because there are so many singers who work hard at it. That’s why it’s getting popular with foreigner audiences.
Sunny: Because of the growth of Korean pop music, many fans can easily get the experience. So we will try to put up better performances for our fans.
YoonA: I would like to show our music to fans from other countries. We are supposed to go to Japan next.

Fans love your style. Can you recommend any Korean fashion lines or shops for Malaysian fans who want follow your style?

Taeyeon: I would like to introduce Myung Dong as a great place for youngsters’ culture.
Yuri: There are many famous places, but I would like to suggest Rodeo Street, Sinsadong garosugil.
Sooyoung: We also read many fashion magazines to find the best fashion.

SHINee Interview ELLE Girl Korea June 2011 - Taemin Part

When did noonas’ Taemin grow up and become a 19 year old who worries about the College Entrance Exam? Yet a skinny body, smooth skin, and angelic smile still represent his looks. Taemin is a cute maknae who is forgetful of where he put what he was holding a minute ago, but he is also a mature maknae who takes good care of hyungs. He exudes unique masculine beauty when he is absorbed in performance with smoky make-up on. Even so, doesn’t he have any complaints about his image as a baby-faced handsome boy?
“In fans’ eyes, I’m maknae in the team and actually young. I have no complaints about it. They see it favorably, so I like it too.”
If you watched him for a minute, you could see Taemin is not boisterous as shown in his serene answer. He is still shy before the photographer’s camera unlike the other members. He is tender-hearted, but you can see he is so reserved he finds it difficult to talk with someone before making friends with him.

“I was an introvert from childhood, so I couldn’t respond well when a stranger approached and talked to me. But I’ve changed a lot since we debuted. It was hard for me even to talk to our staff noonas, but now I kid around them.”
I asked how he’d like to spend his 20s, although it’s still too early (to ask).

“I want to live day by day without regrets like I’m doing so now. I’ll probably like to do things I couldn’t do in my teens, but there is nothing specific I’m looking forward to.”

Did he become an adult too early because he had to adjust himself to social life at a tender age. Key threw a joke while listening to us, “Watching us, he must have felt there’s no big change in 20s.”

Now approaching their 4th year after their debut, SHINee has become Korea’s representative boy group ready to start activities in Japan with the Japanese version of Noona Is So Pretty.

“I think the title Replay itself shows our ambition that we’ll make another start.”
He says it is the same song but with a different mood and concept. It made me curious in what looks they will stir Japanese noona fans’ hearts. Taemin says with his unique innocent smile:

“There’s nothing too demanding. As our team work is good, I’m preparing (for our debut) with hyungs in a good mood. Since our sunbaes made way for us, I’ll work hard so we can climb up step by step along the path.”
The boy who danced in admiration of Michael Jackson has spent the ‘storm and stress’ time of adolescence on stage calmly and is now facing splendid days of youth. Even though he says he has no expectations, we are curious of Taemin’s tomorrow which will be beautiful in itself.

Interview: Heo Young Saeng “Featuring HyunA, Deliberately Not Go To Recording Studio” Why?

Heo YoungSaeng from SS501, will be returning back as a solo singer with the release of his very first mini album ‘Let It Go’. Releasing a solo album after 7 years of debut, Heo YoungSaeng packed full this album with his own vocal.

Same titled title song as his album, ‘Let It Go’ is a song about a different way of love between the male and female. With the unique beautiful voice of Heo YoungSaeng as a cold indifferent guy in front of love. The desire of expression of love which is the mind of the female, is expressed through the sensual raps by HyunA from 4Minute.

Heo YoungSaeng said “When HyunA had to come to the recording studio for the featuring, my other work ended late and I was contemplating if I should go but I didn’t go in the end. Because we didn’t know each other, so it seems like it will be awkward for each other, I didn’t go so that she can record comfortably. HyunA’s rap tone is good, and she did great for me.”

With a character who is somewhat shy of strangers, Heo YoungSaeng said “These days, everyone are close to each other without distinction of girl groups and boy groups. During our times, it would become a news issue if you are close with someone. Now looking at these friends who debut, I wonder why we cannot become closer to each other. I heard from other friends that they said that SS501 is difficult (to get close to) as being a senior. And because I am not the style who will make a first move, so I feel envious looking at them.”

In a situation where there are continuously strong (opponents) releasing music files, his position is that he must face the competition with them naturally. Won’t he feel the pressure from the situation to face fierce competition with his first solo album?

Heo YoungSaeng said “I think successful singers should release more songs/albums so that music fans can listen to moremusic and watch more music programs. This will then become a win win situation for everyone.”

Recently injured of the back of his hand and ligament which forces the postponement of the album release, Heo YoungSaeng has not fully recovered from the injury and have not been able to use his hand freely like before. Despite that, he is full of confidence. He laughed “I leave the worries inside myself, but will be good to to be seen as confident on the outside. I am confident, but my company is very worried. Which makes me lose a little confidence recently.”

Kim Kyu Jong Interview About His Musical 'Goong'

Kim Kyu Jong Interview (Japanese Musical GOONG Official Blog)

During the beginning of the shooting, the 2 of them were posing with different angles. Showing a bright smile and occasionally will start to do some mischievous expressions.

In between, there is a japanese photographer who is shooting Kyu Jong.

Before the interpreter came, Kyu Jong is trying to meet the [move in front a little] [move right] japanese instruction, rapidly changing position.

Perhaps... ...? Wanna personally greet the photograher said [it doesnt matter speaking Japanese].

Kyu Jong, seems like he is quite strong in his Japanese language!

Below is the interview of Kyu Jong.

Q: What is your thoughts about premiering in Kyoto?
Kyu: It's been a long time since I came to Japan, the difference is that prior this was SS501 concert, now it is Musical, thus I am very nervous.

Q: Being a singer what is the difference having a concert and musical?
Kyu: The activities of a singer, speaking of this it should be our own stand in the performance. Whereas for Musical it letting the audience experience the different feelings of the scenerios.

Q: Now that you are not SS501 but as Kim Kyu Jong identity doing solo activities, what are your thoughts?
Kyu: It is one's journey to digest, have seen some aspects not found before, time for reflections is getting more. Seems to learn more things faster. But have been together with the SS501 members for the past 5~6 years thus it really feels lonely doing solo activities. Although I feel that I lack of something, but when reaching a certain age, comparing to playing now I am more concentrating in my work, cos I want to show a more hardworking and mature side of me.

Q: In the musical, there is a love triangle between Chae Kyeong, Prince Yul & Prince Shin. So is Kyu Jong and any of your friend happened to like the same girl before?
Kyu: I am a person who is rather shy and who dont speak a lot. But to a person whom I like I would never easily give up just like that, I would make her to become my girlfriend.

Q: Before going into your musical practice, what other musicals have you watched?
Kyu: I have watched GREASE, CAFEIN, LUNATIC and PRISON musical before.

Q: GREASE & CAFEIN were acted by SS501 Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jun respectively, so did the 2 of them give you any musical advice?
Kyu: They did told me "dont be nervous". For the 1st day of the stage pressure, they did not call me (smile). It is like they dont want me to get nervous. They told me to "Enjoy the Pressure". The members' advice gave me a lot of strength.

Q: 1st time challenging an acting musical role, how do you feel?
Kyu: It is real tough. Even though after accepting this project and started a little acting practice, but so far there are lots of areas which I do not understand.
After learning so much, the difficulty of performing experience, thus when I recalled how I used to tease the members "why act so stupid" after watching their performances or dramas, I really feel that I am very shallow. (smile)

Q: After the 2 of them have worn the 3 different elegant outfit, being asked which one is their favourite musical outfit of Goong?
Kyu: Used to think when will I have the chance to wear this kind of outfit and having this kind of role or project, thus I am very nervous and happy. Have not been able to wear this kind of outfit, very happy. I especially like the last wedding outfit.

Q: Please say something to the Japanese fans.
Kyu: I am honored to be in June at Kyoto performance hall to show everyone a better look.

Please look forward to the [Musical GOONG] performances!

[INTERVIEW] (Part 2) 2NE1 on their comeback, "A feel-good pressure.. first concert in August"

Girl group 2NE1 is now reaching their 3rd year after their debut this year. They are foreshadowing an extravagant comeback after having all 3 title songs place 1st on music ranking programs last year.

They say that they’ve already finished preparing with a song that will flip any sort of expectancy and performances that will surprise the world. In gearing up for promoting in Japan at the time, 2NE1 had a change of route in deciding to perform in Korea due to the unfortunate earthquake incident. The return of 2NE1 to the music industry will be a friendly one when their improvement is unstoppable.

The love calls for 2NE1 are hot with K-POP rising in Brazil, France, and countries that may not seem like they would be involved. Also, Will. I. Am, a supporter of 2NE1, foreshadows good results in their debut to the American market. 2NE1 who is ready to enter the international market is spreading their wings for their performances in Korea.

The four stars who are dreaming of freedom on stage met with Star News.

-You are going to promote in Korea when you were ready to promote in Japan.

▶(Sandara Park) There is disappointment, but I think that we are getting more preparation in order to promote in Japan. I’m happy to meet Korean fans first. I want the day to pass by faster in enjoying the stage.

-What have you been up to lately.

▶(CL) After the awards show back in December of last year, we all received a week of break for each member. I went to France with my father and I felt at ease. Now that I’m thinking about standing on stage again, I’m nervous.

▶(Gong Minji) I spent my time recording for the new album, practicing my vocals, learning ballet and Japanese, and others.

-The responses for Park Bom’s solo song are hot.

▶(Park Bom) I was lucky (laughs). I really didn’t know the responses would be this good, and I was very surprised. I worried a lot because my song would be introducing the start of 2NE1. However, I thought, ‘This is the good kind of pressure’ and after hypnotizing myself with it, I did my best in wanting for it to be perfect. I’m very happy as of lately because of the much love our fans give.

-Solo songs will be released every 3 weeks. If you could introduce the song ‘Lonely’ which will release on the 23th.

▶(CL) After listening to it carefully, you’ll know that it was a song we took an extreme risk for. Everyone gets lonely. We thought that this would be a song that the public can relate to. In midst of the strong atmosphere, the song expresses distinct loneliness felt, whether one being a strong man, woman, or just anyone in general.

-All 3 title songs were 1st place candidates from your official 1st album released in the second-half of last year. Do you not have any pressure for your promotions this time around?

▶(Park Bom) We feel pressure, but it’s the feel-good pressure. First off, I feel good in seeing that Park Bom’s solo song is doing well. It’s always the same, but I’m curious in the response of fans. Ranking is good for us, but we think its jackpot when our fans agree with 2NE1.

-You’re waiting on your debut in the American market with Will. I. Am. what did you talk about when you met up recently?

▶(CL) We met up with him after a year. He had others listen to our songs and even spoke a lot about us. Normally, he talks a lot about music but when he sees us, he even talks about shoes (laughs). He talks a lot of interest in our shoes. We’re almost done recording for the album that we will release in the American music industry.

▶(Gong Minji) We had a lot of discussion about jumping into the American market with Will oppa (Will. I. Am). We talked about which points we can appeal with and since the American market is a big market, we have to concentrate on the points, but we’re happy that good songs came out of this.

-If there is a goal for you when you start promoting the new album

▶(Sandara Park) Placing 1st is important also, but we hope for the public to relate to the things we express. Like always, we hope you like the songs. I hope to hear it on the streets lots also. We have our solo concert in august and we’re already excited to show a new image of us. I’ll leave it to everyone’s imagination (laughs).
