The five-member band FT Island finished a concert tour in Japan by holding its last concert at the International Forum Hall in Tokyo on December 28. FT Island had held concerts entitled “FT Island Hall Tour 2010 - So Today” in cities including Osaka (December 3), Aichi (December 11), and Tokyo (December 19), and they held an encore concert in Tokyo again with more than 5,000 fans. The venue was a great success. They began the concert by singing the title song entitled “Flower Rock,” which had been released last May and ranked in fourth place on the Oricon weekly chart, and sang a total 26 songs including the songs “Brand-new-days,” ”So Today,” which had ranked in eighth place on the Oricon weekly chart, “Baby Love,” ”I Hope,” and “Love Love Love” consecutively for three hours at the concert. Their performance filled the venue with excitement.
Members of FT Island said in fluent Japanese, “We performed on this stage with other singers in 2007, but today we have our own concert on this big stage. We feel both tense and amazed at the same time. We are very happy today. As today’s concert will be the last performance of our concert tour, we will definitely do our best during the concert.” In particular, former FT Island member Oh Won Bin, who had withdrawn from the group and debuted as a solo singer, appeared as a special guest and sang songs including “I Love You and I Love You.” In addition, the unit group of FT Island, FT Triple, consisting of Choi Jong Hoon, Lee Jae Jin, and Choi Min Hwan, sang their song “Love Letter” as a special feature.
The five members of the group FT Island sang their representative song entitled “I Believe in Myself,” which they had released when they were an indie band, as if they could not forget about their original intentions. They sang the songs “The One” and “Primadonna” as encore songs and finished the concert and their performances of the year 2010 by singing the song “Treasure” along with their fans.
FT Island will hold a fan meeting at the JCB Hall in Tokyo on March 26 next year.
