Goo Hara’s teary acceptance speech deemed ‘beautiful’ by viewers

KARA’s Goo Hara recently won the runner-up award for the ‘Show/Variety’ category at KBS’s “2010 Entertainment Awards.”
Clearly surprised over her win, Goo Hara walked to the stage in an utter daze, her eyes wide with amazement.  After collecting herself, she began her acceptance speech, stating, “I’ll be receiving this award thankfully, since I am receiving it in the midst of such amazing seniors.  I’ve earned so many things through ‘Invincible Youth‘.”
As she wrapped up her speech, her eyes began brimming with tears, showing the worth of the achievement to viewers.
When she first joined the show in October of last year, she was considered to be the least known member out of KARA.  A year and two months later, she’s managed to create an entirely new ‘brand’ for herself and has grown into one of the most identifiable stars of the industry.
Goo Hara was known to have worked harder than anyone else on the show, and showcased a lot of determination. Her level of interest in farming and the way she skillfully managed to drive rice-planting tractors surprised the viewers immensely.
She was also much loved by the Yuchiri villagers for her lovely personality and caring heart.
It was only through such efforts that she was able to achieve the win, and although the show came to an end on December 24th, Goo Hara’s mark on the show won’t be forgotten by the viewers.

“Invincible Youth” wraps up season finale with tears

KBS 2TV ’s well-liked selection program, “ ,” aired its teary season finale on December 24th.
The last episode focused on the IY members celebrating Christmas with the Yuchiri villagers. Playing numerous games, Narsha, Goo Hara, Hyomin, Sunhwa, Victoria, Jooyeon , and Kim Sori also presented a talent show for the residents.
Fans had been delighted when they saw that Kim Tae Woo managed to appear for the episode. Kim was forced to take a leave of absence from the show for the reason that of his vocal cord nodules. Reunited with his fellow castmates, the atmosphere on set became lively and was full of laughter.
Unfortunately, the joy could only last for so lengthy – the chief of the team, No Joo Hyun , declared the episode as the season’s last. The cast became gloomy after this announcement, and even the village residents became deeply affected by the news; to them, the IY members had been like their own precious granddaughters.
After finishing their last dinner together, the members sat around and began reflecting on the past year and two months.
Narsha expressed, “ ‘’ turned me into a new individual ,” while Goo Hara stated, “ Please keep in mind that I was a member of ‘ .’
Hyomin confessed, “ ‘’ allowed me to know what a broadcast program was”, and Victoria added , “I learned a great deal about not just Korean culture, but farming and friendships also .”

The show was forced to end early due to the girl group members going overseas. A second season for 2011 is presently in production.

As sweet as the reactions are, the viewer ratings for the final episode had been insubstantial at greatest. According to AGB Nielsen Media Study , the very first season of “” achieved only 6.2% in viewer ratings, a 0.1% drop from last week’s episode, which recorded at 6.3%.

Does "Invicible Youth" Have A Chinese Copycat?

A certain Chinese variety show is being accused of plagiarism for copying KBS 2TV’s girl group variety show, “Invincible Youth“.

On November 30th, on an entertainment bulletin board, captures of a show that allegedly copied “Invincible Youth” was posted. The show is called, “偶像誕生 (Birth of an Idol)”, and the opening, member configuration, music, effects, and more, are almost identical to those of “Invincible Youth”.

On the show, there is a member reminiscent of Kim Tae Woo, a female member dressed like Narsha, and anyone who has seen “Invincible Youth” would say that the format is very similar. The Chinese comments left on the video also criticize the show, saying, “This is exactly the same as ‘Invincible Youth’. I’m embarrassed other people might see” and “‘Birth of an Idol’? Is copying idolizing?”

Kim Ho Sang, the producer of “Invincible Youth”, told Sports Chosun, “I found out today because fans of ‘Invincible Youth’ called me. The program did not officially purchase the rights of the show. I believe this happened because the program is popular, and the members are becoming popular in China. We’re looking for the exact reality. We will discuss our next actions afterwards.”

The possibility of this issue developing into a lawsuit is keeping fans interested.
