XING PROFILE

XING was created in winter of 2006 by producer and CEO, Kim Kyeong-ok of XING Entertainment. The original XING that was released in late 2006 initially had 4 members and was ment to sing in a cappella, but has since then been changed to the current 8 members ever since summer of 2008, forming 'Xing Opera'. Despite their activities and releases dating back to December 2006, XING did not officially debut until late October 2008 with their digital single "Memorize" (Naver, Daum).

Yesasia says: It's been well over half a year since Xing debuted with their single In Your Hands last December, and the group is now back with their second release and a whole new face. The group lost Marumir (Kim Hyung Joon's brother Kim Ki Bum) who left Xing in July and gained two new members, Poppin' Dragon and Zen. My Girl represents a new start for Xing as a five-member group. Of course, with the members averaging in at only 17 years old, there's still plenty of youth and energy to go around. Their new hit My Girl is a light and airy pop number that comes in both Korean and English versions. Poppin' Dragon especially choreographed the dance moves for the song. This five-track single release also includes the ballad "Study Abroad" (Track 2) and "Please Pretend You Don't Know" (Track 3), which highlights Chun Hye Sung's powerful vocals.

Yesasia says: Perhaps no other group has undergone as many changes in member configuration as Xing since 2006. As of March 2008, Xing, which first debuted as an a capella quartet, consists of seven teenage boys: Husky (Woo Hyun Min), Kevin (Woo Sung Hyun), ZEN (Nam Jin Hyun), Kim Ji Sang, Lee Su Hoon, Shin Gwang Chul, and Jung Ji Hwan, the most recent addition. With a brand new facelift and a rejuvenated spirit, Xing presents a repackage edition of their 2007 single album My Girl. This edition contains all three original tracks - My Girl (Track 1), "Study Abroad" (Track 2), and "Please Pretend You Don't Know" (Track 3) - plus fresh new renditions of Forget Our Memories (Track 4) and My Girl (Track 5) by Kevin, one of the original Xing members. Xing has already established huge fanbases in countries like Thailand, Japan, China, and Taiwan, and they will be expanding their musical horizons with live performances throughout Asia.
