Yesterday, allkpop reported that J.Y.J has been dropped from avex.
About the decision, J.Y.J made the statements, “We can’t shake off the thought that Avex was using the three of us as tools to make more profits instead of treating us as artists”, “First, we are sorry to our fans to have to bring them this kind of news”, and “We were very sad to have received news of a promotion cessation despite all of our cooperation and discussions with Avex, it feels very stifling to not be able to fulfill our promise to meet our Japanese fans. In order to solve this, we need the consent and attention from our fans. We hope to be able to meet our fans as soon as possible when our promotions are resumed.”
Today, avex’s President, Masato “max” Matsuura, tweeted and talked a little about the issue.
“If we are such a bad company, I would assume that all of avex’s artists would leave. Uh, I think we’re a good company, just one that doesn’t know how to speak well.”
“It was going to come out sooner or later… all of the above.”
“I did as much as I can. I don’t know why they chose the other person. If you do that then this happens! You can’t do anything about it. If Baek has such an influential status, then he does. I don’t know the reason why they didn’t choose us [avex], but we asked them to stick with us till the end. Even still, I still like them [JYJ].”
“I’m in an emotional state right now, so it will be quiet for a while.”
