The actress appeared on the March 26th airing of SBS Radio‘s ‘Two o’clock Escape Cultwo Show‘ and spoke about Leeteuk, who is currently serving in the army.

She shared, “A few days ago I went to see the musical ‘Promise‘, and I got to see Leeteuk. He looked really good.”

Kang Sora added, “His body looked good. He got some muscles and became more manly. Maybe he was made for the army,” causing listeners to laugh.

Wonder Girls' Sunye and Yeeun impress with a performance of "When You Believe" by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey

Wonder Girls' Sunye and Yeeun recently impressed their audience with their amazing live vocals. On November 20th, MBC aired the "Beautiful Concert" where Sunye and Yeeun sang "When You Believe," a duet originally by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey for the "Prince of Egypt" OST.

The song is well-known for the high-pitched tones of Mariah Carey, as well as Whitney Houston's powerful vocals. Wonderfuls (Wonder Girls' fans) may also recognize this song as Yeeun's audition song that enabled her to pass the JYP final auditions.

Not only showing off their English found they had honed during their time away from their home country, Sunye and Yeeun blew away their fans and their audience at the concert with their heart-warming performance and amazing vocal skills.

Watching the broadcast performance, viewers can tell that their audience were completely enthralled in their performance, which ended in a beautiful harmonization before the Wonder Girls' members thanked their audience.

Jessica was afraid Hyoyeon would hit her?

On the episode of MBC ‘Golden Fishery – Radio Star‘ that aired on the 9th, SNSD‘s Jessica admitted that she had gotten into an intense argument with fellow member Hyoyeon.

MC Kim Guk Jin who recalled that Tiffany and Taeyeon had previously gotten into a heated argument asked Jessica if she had ever fought with any of the members.

“I fought with Hyoyeon before,” she admitted. “I thought I was going to get hit,” she continued, evoking laughter. “Hyoyeon was sitting in the front seat and I was sitting in the back. She started saying things to me that I didn’t really appreciate, so I started saying things back to her.”

MC Yoon Jong Shin then said, “Once you start fighting, you probably say things to one another that aren’t appropriate for TV… do the SNSD members use profanity?”, to which Jessica witfully remarked, “I told you she said things I didn’t appreciate. Thing I didn’t appreciate!“, which cause more laughter on the set.

B2ST’s adventure in Spain to air on MBC’s 2011 Cover Dance Festival ‘K-Pop Road Show 40120′

Idol group B2ST will serve as judges for an upcoming episode of MBC‘s2011 Cover Dance Festival ‘K-Pop Road Show 40120′. The boys teamed up with Spain’s professional chorus ‘Millenium‘ to hold a mini K-pop concert, singing traditional Korean folk songs.

People from various European countries performed at the festival including Spain, England, France, Lithuania, and many other countries. A young Egyptian girl sang traditional Korean trot songs, while a mother and daughter team from England emulated T-ARA‘s “Bo Peep Bo Peep“, making it a lively show full of talent which reportedly left the B2ST boys at a loss for words.

B2ST also had a chance to spend some time with Russian Red, a popular artist from Spain. Russian Red praised B2ST on their unique music, and the two groups sang each other’ songs, showcasing their new found friendship.

This episode will air on MBC on November 3rd.

MBC to partner with YouTube to offer HD content

It’s a dream come true for many international fans – no longer will they have to download Torrents and suffer through low-quality videos! MBC has announced that they’ve partnered up with worldwide video-streaming website, YouTube, to offer select content for an overseas audience.

MBC and Google Korea announced the ‘MBC-Google Content Transfer Partnership’ at an event on the 21st. MBC will offer dramas and variety shows that were broadcast prior to 2005; new content that’s yet to be broadcast will be shared on a case-by-case basis. All files will be uploaded in standard high-definition and will be divided into 10-minute clips.

Kim Jae Chul, the head of MBC, expressed his excitement over the partnership. “This year, we brought in over 200 billion dollars in content-related revenue,” he said. “That’s the power of content. I hope this will be the start of an opportunity to broaden Hallyu through YouTube, the world’s biggest media-sharing site.”

“It has been around three and a half years since YouTube set foot in Korea,” said Google Korea CEOYeom Dong Hoon. “I’ve always thought it would be a good idea to help with spreading domestic cultural content. Until now, Hallyu has been centered around K-pop but I hope this will increase the wave through MBC content. We expect this will be the foundation of the Hallyu boom.”

Idol singers pick Taeyang and HyunA as the next Rain and Hyori

Big Bang’s Taeyang and 4minute’s HyunA were picked as “the Next Rain and Hyori” by other idol singers in this week’s MBC Everyone’s “Weekly Idol.” The survey asked a group of real-life idols to pick “five idol singers with the most potential to follow in the success of Rain and Hyori” and the most votes were given to Taeyang and HyunA, who beat out the likes of BEAST’s Lee Gi Kwang, Jay Park, SNSD’s Yuri, and G.NA. MBC We Got Married Updated Their Website With Leeteuk and Kang Sora Couple

It's already official that Super Junior Leeteuk and actress Kang Sora are going to be paired up for the popular TV show We Got Married along side with Jang Woo and Eunjung known as the WooJung Couple, Park So Hyun & Kim Won Joon known as the Brave Coup

Though MBC WGM productions denied it before, finally it is really official that Kang Sora ns Leeteuk will be part of the show. And just minutes ago on MBC's We Got Married section, they already added the picture of the new couple.

On the fist picture, Leeteuk is holding the invitation that he made and was sent out to his members. According to MBC WGM update, Leeteuk received the popular "mission card" and met his virtual wife in a theater in Seoul. He was sitting alone at the empty theater without any clue who will be his wife.

Park Myung Soo calls G-Dragon a musical genius!

In a recent interview, comedian Park Myung Soo only had words of praise for Big Bang’s leader and producer, G-Dragon.

Giving themselves the name ‘GG‘, Park Myung Soo and G-Dragon recently teamed up to present viewers with a special song on MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” at the West Coast Highway Song Festival.

On June 15th, Park Myung Soo expressed through his phone interview, “While working with G-Dragon, I realized that he truly was a young musical genius. If I made a request about something, he would immediately present me with not one, but three different ideas”.

He continued, “At first, I had difficulty adjusting to Big Bang’s style of music, so we had to overcome our fundamental musical differences. However, G-Dragon wrote a song that was easy enough for me to follow along with, and made sure that the song still sounded great. Thanks to him, I was able to naturally close the gap between our music styles. I’m sure that many people will enjoy the song G-Dragon and I worked on together”.

Meanwhile, the special ‘West Coast Highway Song Festival’ of “Infinity Challenge” will start airing on July 2nd as part of a special 4-week series. It will show the Infinity Challenge members each teaming up with different singers, and viewers will be able to see the hard work that went into preparing for the festival.

Super Junior Heechul Is Not Good At Impersonating?

On the May 5 episode of “The Starry Night with Memories,” emceed by Ryu Si-won, Lee Gyeong-sil, Lee Hong-ryeol and Kim Hee-chul, Kim Hee-chul provoked laughter among people there and viewers as he burst out embarrassing laughing right after showing off a vocal mimicry.
The guests of that day consisted of Korea’s older-generation comedians, well known as masters of vocal mimicry, such as Nam Bo-won, Choi Byeong-seo, Kim Hak-do and An Yun-seong. That’s why Kim had the chance to impersonate the voices of some public figures including President Lee Myung-bak, Kim Dae-jung and famous Korean actor Lee Sun-jae.However, when his impersonating skill turned out to be poor enough to make anyone hardly recognize who’s mimicked, he burst out embarrassing laughter saying, “I’m sorry for my poor performance,” which rather made people laugh.

On April 30th, Big Bang’s stylish leader G-Dragon guested on MBC’s “Infinity Challenge – Dinner Show Special” and received some criticism on his fashion from gagman Jung Hyung Don.

G-Dragon attended the dinner show wearing a black skull print jacket and a pink muffler. Jung Hyung Don dared to go out on a limb by stating, “Your muffler doesn’t match your outfit. Actress Kim Ja Ok recently gave a dose of embarrassment to Kim Heechul!

During MBC’s “The Night the Memories Shine Bright”, aired on April 7th,  the original princess, Kim Ja Ok, and the original grandmother, Kim Soo Mi, showed off their witty conversations.

 However, at the beginning of the broadcast, Kim Ja Ok shocked the panel.

Kim Ja Ok stated, “It’s good to see Ryu Shi Won, Lee Kyung Shil, and Lee Hong Ryul again.”However, Kim Ja Ok could not remember Kim Heechul, who was sitting next to Lee Hong Ryul.

In the end, everyone had to tell her that he was Kim Heechul. Upon hearing that, Kim Ja Ok nodded and laughed.  However, Kim Heechul’s embarrassment did not end there.
