MBLAQ members fight over A-Pink’s Eunji

The MBLAQ members have their eyes on girl group A-Pink.

The boys who are actively promoting their song “This Is War” recently guest-featured to film the February 11th episode of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘.

When MC Jung Hyung Don asked if there were any girl groups that have caught their attention as of late, MBLAQ leader Seungho and fellow member G.O. agreed that A-Pink is one of their favorites groups.

“They’re really nice girls, very respectful and polite,” they said.

Member Mir also chimed in and said, “I think member Eunji is the cutest out of all of them,” which caused Lee Joon to quickly blurt out, “Hey, I liked Eunji first!”

Lee Joon was then given a chance to send Eunji a video message, and he said, “I enjoy seeing you perform. You are a great singer, and I love the way you smile so adorably.”

This episode of ‘Weekly Idol airs on February 11th at 2:00PM KST.

MBLAQ Mir "Can't Date Because of My Sister Go Eun Ah"

Go Eun Ah and MBLAQ’s Mir will appear on the episode of SBS “Strong Heart” that will broadcast tonight on January 17. (Korean Time) Mir stated, “I think I am always within my sister’s palm. Wherever I go I am always being watched by my sister.” (The expression “Always within one’s palm comes from “Journey to the West” and the wager between the Monkey King and Buddha. Basically, it means that one can never escape another.)

Go Eun Ah then stated, “I only did that because I care about my little brother. I am worried whenever he meets female friends so I always check. If he is interested in a girl, I do research on that girl.”

Mir also spoke about his sister Go Eun Ah’s well planned out schemes of stopping him from dating.

MBLAQ confirmed for season five of ‘Hello Baby

MBLAQ has been confirmed as the new stars of the fifth season of KBS Joy‘s ‘Hello Baby‘!

Scheduled to begin airing by the end of the month, ‘Hello Baby’ has had stars like SNSD, SHINee, T-ara, and SISTAR band together to raise one special baby.

On January 5th, MBLAQ’s representatives revealed, “The members all love children so they were called in for a new season. Mir and G.O. especially have nephews and nieces so they have a lot of interest in raising children. We hope that the program shows off the members’ individual charms.”

MBLAQ will begin recording for the first time this week, in addition to their fourth mini-album comeback.

MBLAQ releases concept image for comeback album, “100% Ver.”

On January 5th, MBLAQ released a new concept image for their upcoming album, “100% Ver.“!

Sporting brand new hair styles and unique outfits that incorporate leather and, fur, and feathers, the boys have officially kicked off their comeback preparations with a fierce new look!

J. Tune Camp expressed, “This is a new image cut of their upcoming album. There was a member that offered to shave his head but we decided to take in the opinion of fans and stop at a mohawk(laughter). The album’s name is ’100% Ver.’, which is an expression of their satisfaction and confidence in the album’s quality.”

The teaser music video for their title track, “It’s War“, will be released on January 6th.

This photo first appeared on G.O’s Twitter along with the description, “Oh no, Jason~ Seungho’s face seems a little too bright.” G.O poses as if he’s trying to run away from the ‘Friday the 13th‘ boogeyman, while Seungho looks as if he’s almost encouraging the ghoul.

5-men group MBLAQ from Korea visited the Tower Records Shibuya location.

To commemorate the sale of their 2nd Japanese single "Baby U!" released today on October 26th they visited the big exhibition that is opening on the 1st floor of the Shibuya location. There was a surprise of them practically standing side by side themselves in the booth decorated with mannequins wearing their outfit during normal business hours, and the fans who happened to be present by accident were shocked. After that, when they were signing on the huge panel they appeared in front of their fans again, and left the venue with a smiling face. This exhibition will be opened until October 31st, so please check it out by all means.

Lee Chunhee to replace MBLAQ's Lee Joon in the drama "Please, Captain"

Actor Lee Chunhee will replace MBLAQ's Lee Joon in an upcoming drama series on SBS. The show's promoter announced today that Lee Chunhee will take on the role of Kang Dongsoo, an air traffic controller in the new series "Please, Captain".

When asked about the role, Lee Chunhee expressed his desire to participate in the project as it will be the first time a Korean drama will be based on aviation. He also revealed that he and the rest of the cast are currently studying hard for the project.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Lee Chunhee stepped into a role originally offered to MBLAQ's Lee Joon. Lee Joon was originally casted for the drama but had to step down due to conflicts with the schedule.

A representative from J.Tune Camp also stated, "We felt that Lee Joon's singing activities are his priority right now since he will be quite busy visiting various countries overseas till the end of the year."

"Please, Captain" will also feature Ji Jinhee, Goo Hyesun, Yoosun and will tell the everyday stories of pilots, flight attendants and crew members that work in an airport. Filming is set to start this November as the show will replace "Deep Rooted Tree" when it ends.

MBLAQ’s G.O. shares his thoughts on leaving ‘Immortal Song 2′

On August 29th, MBLAQ’s G.O. shared his thoughts on departing from the idol music program, ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

The star took to his Twitter to write, “I completed the final recording for ‘Immortal Song 2′.  There are still a lot of disappointments left, and I’m also filled with the regret of not trying harder and doing better.  I know that this will greatly influence my singing career in the future.”

He continued, “All of the viewers (who regarded me like a family member), our producers, the judges who supported us greatly, and all of those who monitored for us — I’ll be missing all of you a lot.”

MBLAQ recently concluded their promotions for “Mona Lisa” and will be going on to promote their follow-up, “I Don’t Know“.

2NE1’s Sandara Park revealed her stealthy photography skills, as seen by this new photo of her brother, MBLAQ’s Thunder, sleeping side-by-side with his young kitten, Dadoong.

On August 30th, Sandara updated her me2day with: ”Look at the two babies sleeping together on the couch! It’s so early in the morning and I have to go to work, but these two have managed to put a smile on my sleepy face! Cuties.”

Idol music show “Immortal Song 2″ airs episode #6!

KBS’s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ has broadcast its 6th episode on July 9th with its all-idol cast!

‘Immortal Song 2′ will have each contestant sing unique covers, just like on ‘I Am a Singer‘, however there will be no eliminations to challenge them. The six castmates will instead battle for pride, as the first place winner will be judged by a 200-member audience. Not only that, but they’ll also receive priceless pointers and tips from the original artists of the songs they cover.

Today’s mission was a special duet mission and the pairings are as follows: F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki with Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, 2PM’s Junsu with Big Mama’s Lee Young Hyun, SISTAR’s Hyorin with 4MEN’s Shin Yong Jae,
MBLAQ’s G.O with Lim Jeong Hee, 2AM’s Changmin with 8eight/Homme’s Lee Hyun, and 4minute’s Jiyoon with Yurisangja’s Lee Sae Jun.

With fresh new re-arrangements by the six idols with their partners, the 200 judging audience members were utterly

MBLAQ’s G.O. & Seungho reveal concept photos for new album

Yesterday, we reported on the unique concept photos for MBLAQ’s third mini-album. This time, members G.O. and Seungho revealed their cuts, which continued with the theme of ‘pop culture icons who best represented the album’.

Representatives of J. Tune Camp had said, “This album’s key theme is ‘celebrated work’, and to better fit the concept, the members have parodied an important figure of history.”

G.O. decided to channel the iconic James Dean, while Seungho went for the character of ‘Papillon’, a classic character from the 1973 Steve McQueen film about a convict who plans to make a daring escape.

MBLAQ’s 3rd mini-album will be released online on July 12th and will hit stores on the 15th.

"We want to tell the children. Have Big Dreams" - Interview with Tohoshinki & 16 others kpop groups

Tohoshinki, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, 2PM, 2AM, Supernova, FT Island, SG Wannabe, Miss A, Secret, SISTAR, f(x), 4minute, IU and ZE:A – A total of 16 groups of artists came together in the Live event “Tokyo Legend 2011.” This is the first time such a grand K-pop event has been attempted in Japan, and before the performance, there was a press conference held on the same day (14 May), at the concert location Saitama Super Arena.

This performance is in support of the UN’s MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) of poverty relief project, the GFSC (Good Friends Save the Children) charity campaign and sends a “Love & Peace Message.” Also, there was the theme of “Let’s Get Up! Japan, Pray for JAPAN!!” sending a message of, as well as actual resource support from the performers to the areas affected by the Tohoku Earthquake, bringing hope to the children.


At the start of the press conference, all 16 groups of artists shared a moment of silence to express their sympathies for the victims of the earthquake. Then, the performing artists introduced themselves one by one, and spoke about their determination for this Live.
