SM releases Taemin’s teaser for SHINee’s Barcelona travel book

Over the course of the week, SM Entertainment has released teasers for SHINee‘s ‘Sons of the Sun‘ travel guide to Barcelona, Spain. Now, they’ve revealed the final video clip with member Taemin.

Just like in Onew and Key‘s teasers, this clip features shots of the idol diving into the lifestream of the city.
The book will include the members’ photos and stories from their time in the country as well as suggestions on where to eat in Barcelona. It’s targeted for readers who enjoy travelling, and for SHINee fans who would like to get a glimpse into the members’ experiences in Spain.

SHINee’s ‘Sons of the Sun’ will be available for pre-sale online on November 21st (KST). Those who reserve the book before the official December 8th release will receive a bonus postcard set of unrevealed photos.

SHINee's Taemin to refrain from taking the university entrance exam due to overseas activities

SHINee's maknae Taemin will not be taking part in this year's round of university entrance exams on account of his participation in SHINee's overseas promotions.

Due to the time constraints of his busy schedule, Taemin has commented that he does not yet feel prepared enough to take the test. He will thus forgo taking this year's exam in order to ready himself for a future round of tests.

In related news, SHINee's time consuming overseas efforts have been met with much success. The group recently traveled to London to perform a mini solo concert at the 2011 London Film Festival, updating fans along the way with picture updates relayed through their Facebook.

SHINee will be coming out with their first ever full-length Japanese album, titled "THE FIRST," on December 7th.

SHINee’s Key gives a ‘fashionista’ update with Simpsons socks

SHINee‘s Key reclaimed his title as a ‘fashionista’ through his latest me2day update.

On November 1st, Key simply wrote, “London go go!,” and revealed the photos above.

The idol is seen posing with fellow members Taemin, Jonghyun, and Onew, who all showed quirky expressions and trendy styling. Fans laughed especially over Key’s Santa Simpsons socks, which were pulled over his jeans. The other points, like his trendy eyeglasses and knit hat, gave him a chic look overall.

Heart Fluttering at SHINee Taemin’s Mature Look

SHINee Taemin’s growth blast attracted netizens’ attention.

SHINee Key Having Fun in SoshiLand

SHINee Key appeared on SNSD Saitama concert video that was held yesterday in Shouju Jidai arena tour ( Saitama Super Arena ).

When did noonas’ Taemin grow up and become a 19 year old who worries about the College Entrance Exam? Yet a skinny body, smooth skin, and angelic smile still represent his looks. Taemin is a cute maknae who is forgetful of where he put what he was holding a minute ago, but he is also a mature maknae who takes good care of hyungs. He exudes unique masculine beauty when he is absorbed in performance with smoky make-up on. Even so, doesn’t he have any complaints about his image as a baby-faced handsome boy?
“In fans’ eyes, I’m maknae in the team and actually young. I have no complaints about it. They see it favorably, so I like it too.”
If you watched him for a minute, you could see Taemin is not boisterous as shown in his serene answer. He is still shy before the photographer’s camera unlike the other members. He is tender-hearted, but you can see he is so reserved he finds it difficult to talk with someone before making friends with him.

“I was an introvert from childhood, so I couldn’t respond well when a stranger approached and talked to me. But I’ve changed a lot since we debuted. It was hard for me even to talk to our staff noonas, but now I kid around them.”
I asked how he’d like to spend his 20s, although it’s still too early (to ask).

“I want to live day by day without regrets like I’m doing so now. I’ll probably like to do things I couldn’t do in my teens, but there is nothing specific I’m looking forward to.”


Did he become an adult too early because he had to adjust himself to social life at a tender age. Key threw a joke while listening to us, “Watching us, he must have felt there’s no big change in 20s.”

Now approaching their 4^th year after their debut, SHINee has become Korea’s representative boy group ready to start activities in Japan with the Japanese version of Noona Is So Pretty.

“I think the title Replay itself shows our ambition that we’ll make another start.”
He says it is the same song but with a different mood and concept. It made me curious in what looks they will stir Japanese noona fans’ hearts. Taemin says with his unique innocent smile:

“There’s nothing too demanding. As our team work is good, I’m preparing (for our debut) with hyungs in a good mood. Since our sunbaes made way for us, I’ll work hard so we can climb up step by step along the path.”
The boy who danced in admiration of Michael Jackson has spent the ‘storm and stress’ time of adolescence on stage calmly and is now facing splendid days of youth. Even though he says he has no expectations, we are curious of Taemin’s tomorrow which will be beautiful in itself.

SHINee’s Taemin is Goldilocks?

On the 27th of February, SHINee’s maknae TaeMin was a guest star for KBS Cool FM’s Super Junior Kiss the Radio, and later official photos of the session were uploaded onto the program’s homepage, including a three-picture set of the maknae doing his “aegyo”, melting the hearts of fans.

SHINee’s Taemin’s goddess appearance has become a conversational topic. Netizens are dishing out compliments to Taemin after pictures of him at Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio were uploaded.

The pictures show SHINee’s maknae with his pale skin and blonde hair, with a pen against his mouth, making a “blowfish” face. He is also shown smiling subtly while pretending to read a sheet of paper, trying to look as interested as possible.

Super Junior’s Heechul uploaded a photograph of himself when he was in high school on his Twitter recently.
He tweets, “This is a picture from high school keke I used to like Doraemon. I took a picture of it, and the quality is… I don’t think you can tell who it is ㅡㅡ Ah but the quality sucks so you can’t see my double eyelids and my eyebrows are halved. An overwhelming first concert, we did it!

“[They] really did grow up well.”

Said one enamored older female fan from the audience. Korea was in awe as the grown-up SHINee who debuted three years ago was the main event at a large-scale concert.

On the 2nd, the Olympic Sports Stadium in Seoul was completely crowded with ‘intense’ beloved noona and older female fans at SHINee’s first exclusive concert ‘SHINee World.’ These fans made a great spectacle holding and waving around pearl aqua-colored glow sticks that dyed venue.

They stuck around again and again all for SHINee’s members. On the stage broadcast, [SHINee] prepared a unique stage that wasn’t aired. For SHINee’s first concert they spent almost an unbelievable amount of money and dominated the stage. As an overwhelming first concert for them, the members shared waiting room selcas with Sports Hankook.

# Let’s shine!

With the upcoming performance, the members were encouraging one another in the waiting room. Minho screaming out chants and Onew clapping, while Taemin and Jonghyun flash a smile. They shine like their name SHINee and though they look different, confidence comes out of the members’ expressions.

# Flying in the air

SHINee members prepared special equipment for this performance, utilizing most of the stage. The best being the wires and together plucked up into the air. The stage brought back a childhood innocence, fans spared no cheer as the members went from here to there.

# Starring ‘On’barotti!

Onew’s solo stage was unique. Onew sang a piece from Puccini’s opera ‘Turandot.’ It is a rare song to find at an idol group’s concert. “[I] purposely didn’t want an easy song to learn, taking several lessons, experiencing frustration,” “I wanted to give a big emotion on stage” stated Onew.

# Stage Finale

At the end of the hectic stage at 2 hours and 30 minutes, the members came out on the side of the stage for an encore. With a strong stride they look out from the jutting stage. SHINee, the maknae group of the same music company as DBSK/TVXQ and Super Junior, clearly showed that they were capable to stand by themselves through the concert. They promised their ‘concert hyung‘ groups to make new strides.

SHINee members ended their concert and took a commemorative picture in the waiting room. Onew smiling wide to the still dazed looking Key, the members have their own expressions. However they all display a common sense of accomplishment as their first concert ended successfully.

With October 31st being Halloween, Inkigayo marked the occasion with a special dance stage!

SHINee's Key and Taemin to be special MC's on Music Core

SHINee members Key and Taemin will be MC's for a day at this week's episode of Music Core.

It has been announced by MBC that on the 16th of October, Taemin and Key will be the special MC's. Despite Key's recent injury from the concert in Indonesia, he is well enough to proceed his MC duties.

SHINee's agency said on the 14th due to the over crowding, Key and JongHyun was injured while they were getting off the stage at the Korea-Indonesia Sharing Friendship concert. However, they have already gotten enough rest and are recovering fast. Fortunately, the other three members did not get injured and are in a healthy condition.

However, With JongHyun's injured ankle, they will still check if he will be able enough to continue promotions with SHINee with "hello".

SHINee's Taemin's Ideal Type is Jung Siah

On the latest recording of KBS 2TV's "Happy Birthday", Taemin said, "I look at a girl's personality before her appearance" and "My ideal type is a girl who's like a sunflower, always looking at me." MC Lee Soogeun asked which cast member was closest to his ideal type. Taemin chose Jung Siah, the wife of Baek Yoonshik's son, Baek Dobin. He revealed, "It's nice to see her praising her husband and being so proud of him, which shows that she sincerely loves him.

Then Key of SHINee picked Big Mama Lee Hyejung as his ideal type. He stated, "I like how she is confident and how she takes care of herself dilligently. MC Lee Kyungkyu made everyone burst into after by adding, "The ways that idols avoid scandals are quite diverse."
