Super Junior’s live concert album will be released on the 24th

Super Junior’s third live concert album will be released on the 24th.
The album, Super Junior The 3rd Asia Tour Concert Album Super Show 3, includes Super Junior’s third Asia tour concert, which was held on August 14 and 15 at Olympic Park in Seoul.
The album also includes Super Junior unit groups songs, including, Super Junior K.R. Y., Super Junior T, and Super Junior M. The song “The Way Idols Breakup” which was sang by Kim Heechul and f(x)’s Sulli, is included as well.
Bonus tracks in the album made people eagerly anticipate the album.
Super Junior will hold the concert, Super Junior World Tour Super Show 4, on November 19 and 20 at Olympic Park in Seoul.

SOLAR Concert DVD release date moved to February 8

Taeyang's SOLAR Concert DVD, which is supposed to be available on the 26th, will now be released on February 8 instead. According to YG, their suppliers won't be able to send out the stocks on January 26 due to the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

Big Bang to Release 3D “Big Show 2010″ in Theaters

After a two year hiatus, Big Bang will be meeting fans through the big screen!

On January 18th, representatives of YG Entertainment revealed, “A 3D movie featuring footage from the ‘2010 Big Bang Live Concert Big Show‘ will be released in theaters on February 2nd.”

Titled “2010 Big Bang Live Concert Big Show 3D,” concert footage that wasn’t originally included in the DVD release will be turned into 3D as a joint production by YG Entertainment and SBS’s Contents Hub.

The group is currently preparing for their comeback album scheduled for release on February 24th, followed by their “2011 Big Show” concert on the 25th through 27th.

(Ji Won Kim) There are so many people who are curious about that picture... We recorded two songs from Mozart that are going to be used for the bonus making film section of the Musical Concert DVD~^^* After consulting with Junsu on the two songs he really wanted to record, I was able to experience once more the amazing match made in heaven between Levay's music and Junsu. TVXQ #2 in overall Japanese sales despite controversy and non promotions

Japanese statistics and music information company Oricon recently released an article titled “Idols and K-POP bring the sparkle to music industry with new movement.” The article contains sales data from December 28th, 2009 to November 22nd, 2010 and talks about how expectations for singles sales in Japan was expected to go down. Despite the negative projections, singles sales actually went up due to Arashi, K-Pop groups such as TVXQ and the girls groups (KARA, SNSD), along with the surge of AKB48.

What was surprising in the article was the sales figure chart which showed that TVXQ was 2nd in overall sales for 2010, only behind Arashi despite the lack of promotions and controversy the group faced in 2010.
The group had controversy with the JYJ / SM Entertainment conflict and the halting of activities through Rhythm Zone / Avex. Despite this they had a astounding total sales amount of 9,411,500,000 yen (over $112 million). Single album sales amounted to 777,200,000 yen, Album sales amounted to 1,690,000,000 yen, DVD sales amounted to 4,604,500,000 yen, and Blu-Ray sales amounted to 43,700,000 yen.
