☆I went to the concert by chance☆

Because of work, I thought I wouldn't be able to go but by chance, I unexpectedly was able to go yesterday.

Things like that can happen!? I was so shocked that my expression was of a pigeon who was shot by a peashooter.

Because it was too sudden, I could only go alone.

When I arrived at Katsuta Station, I wanted to cry out of excitement but I was all by myself.

When I was trying the suppress my emotions,

a lot of kind people came to me and we shared the same excitements.

There are a lot of nice people. Thank you very much.

To be able to see the 3 of them singing and dancing was like a dream to me, I was so happy.

When I was watching them, my hands unconsciously became hands of a cutesy young girl.

This morning, I unbelievably woke up at 3:30am.

Well everyone, let's wake up from our dreams and go back to the real world.

Just kidding, I still don't want to go back to the reality~. (in Yoochun's style)

4minute talks about their relationship with BEAST

4minute recently shared some stories during an interview about their close relationship with their fellow Cube Entertainment group, BEAST.

As BEAST prepared for their comeback stage on Music Bank, 4minute was asked about their relationship with their label mates and revealed, "We treat them like our real brothers." During the interview, 4minute confessed, "As BEAST's popularity continues to grow, and with lots of female fans around, we would often be worried about them being noticed by fans for being too close with us and then have us involved in scandals."

"However, the problem is that their fans would view us not like any other girl groups but as BEAST's sibling group. We were just surprised when some of their fans would say things like, 'If ever you'll be involved in any scandal, we'd prefer you doing it with the 4minute unnies (older sisters)," the girls continued while laughing.

4minute and BEAST are from the same agency, Cube Entertainment. Although 4minute debuted a little earlier than BEAST, the fact is undeniable to fans that they have such a tight friendship.

4minute continued, "BEAST's fans have this easy mindset about us. Our fans would even pressure us that if ever we will ever have joint-stages like what we do for Gayo Daejuns or year-end specials, we should do it with no other boy group other than BEAST."

Meanwhile, 4minute has finished promoting their youthful and cute title-track track “Heart To Heart” and has passed the baton to BEAST, who are making their comeback this week with their title track “Fiction."

Fans all over the world trend cities in hopes of SMTOWN tour stops

SM Entertainment’s expansion into Europe with the first K-pop concert “SM Town Live in Paris” has triggered an enormous reaction from fans all over the world wanting their own “SM Town Live” concert in their own country and city. In mid-April, SM Entertainment announced ”SM Town Live in Paris” at Le Zenith in Paris, France, which holds approximately 6,000 seats in comparison to SM Town LA’s venue which held 20,000. Tickets for the Paris concert were sold out in 15 minutes and left many European fans ticketless for this historic concert.
European fans began to protest in attempt to get a chance and a second date to attend the concert. Over a thousand fans responded to Korean Connection’s call for the Louvre (Paris) protest on Sunday May 1st, and hundreds of K-pop fans attended to show their love for K-pop music. The Louvre protest attracted local French media, as well as Korean media including Yonhap News, SBS, MBC, and KBS reporters.
According to Korean Connection, additional protests have been planned by fans all across Europe including Bordeaux, Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes, Lille, Marseille, Tour, Strasbourg, Metz, Poitiers, Nimes, Genève, Madrid, Barcelona, and Munich.
As a result of the successful Paris protest, SM Entertainment replied that they will be considering a second additional “SM Town Live in Paris” concert, but must check with their artists’ schedules first before confirming the second date.


Earlier this week, SM Entertainment announced plans to enter the Latin America market with an SM Town concert in July. Fans located in South America gave fiery reactions with SM Entertainment revealing their plans and possibilities to visit South American countries such as Brazil and Chile.
The Mexican media has also opened itself up to the K-pop wave. TV Azteca has received lots of love ever since givingtheir first K-pop coverage on “Venga la Alegria” at the end of April. Because of the positive reaction from K-pop fans in Mexico, “Venga la Alegria” will be showing 90 seconds of K-pop every Wednesday.
A very well known K-pop mixer, DJ Masa (Carlos Brandão) is from Brazil himself. He has gained international fame for his top-notch remixes, including his famous “yearly mashups,” in which he takes the hottest songs of the year and mashes them together into one unique sounding song. Masa is known to be a very big fan of Korean K-pop Queen BoA Kwon, and it has been reported that many fans hope that he will someday become the opening act for an SM Town concert, preferably “SM Town Live in Brazil.”
K-pop fans all over the world have gotten into a frenzy to get SM Entertainment’s attention to get SM Town to perform in their country and city. Over 11,000 fans have “liked” the Facebook page for “SM Town Live in Mexico.”
If one were to look up “SM Town Live” on the Facebook’s search engine, fans all over the world are requesting for a concert in the following countries and cities: Canada, Toronto (Canada), Brazil, Peru, Thailand, Australia, Colombia,Los Angeles, Philippines, Washington D.C., Mexico, Montréal (Canada), Chile and more.

In addition, K-pop fans have also started trending on Twitter. Koreaboo responded to a tip by fans earlier today that fans have trended #smtownperu. But this was not the only thing trending today! SHINee Interview With Le Monde Together With European SHINeeholics!

France’s leading influential media Le Monde, had a interview with SHINee with the topic of “KPOP Wave”.

On April 20th, Le Monde had an interview with SHINee in the SM Entertainment building for 30 minutes at 3 P.M. To give the French fans of SHINee an experience of KPOP, 54 fans came with Le Monde on this day.

The thing that was especially noticed was that this is the first time that fans outside of Asia came to Korea as a group.

Before the interview started, SHINee’s music videos were shown through video, and right as it came out the fans were screaming with joy and they sang along in Korean (pronounced correctly) which showed their love for KPOP. After that SHINee came in and they performed their recent song “Hello” and this made the fans happier.

Le Monde showed interest and asked about SHINee’s training days, after debut days, their rise in fame and talked about their popularity in Europe and in Korea. Fans also got to ask a few question themselves.

Also on that day SHINee told the fans “ There is a SMTOWN LIVE concert at Le Zenith de Paris on June 10th” in French and the fans were amazed to hear their French.

Daesung and some Yonghwa fans incident @ Night After Night recording

Yonghwa fans who were at a Night After Night recording were talking amongst themselves and said: "I can't see Yonghwa. I wish Daesung would get his head out of the way" and Daesung heard them so he moved his head and the fans laughed. Then in the end, Yonghwa and Daesung ended up changing spots. This was found out by Daesung fans when they saw it on a fan cafe and it was actually one of the moderators on the site that was saying this. The Yonghwa fans were saying stuff like "Haha I guess it's one of the privileges of having a lot of fans there". A few weeks back at a Night After Night recording some rude girls were scolding Daesung for something as well during a break in recording (even though they're people Daesung doesn't know).

Fandom war, CN.Blue Yonghwa’s fans tell Daesung to move his face

A debate amongst fans has recently broke out after allegations of fans of CN.Blue’s Yonghwa telling Big Bang’s Daesung to “please move your face out of the way a bit” were brought up. There is a debate amongst fans of Daesung and Yonghwa because of the controversy.

On the 10th according to Asia Today, screenshots of an online community were taken where fans left their testimony of what happened at the recording of SBS’s “Night After Night”.

A fan under the ID *** said,

“We couldn’t see Yonghwa…so we whispered to Daesung-goon to move his face out of the way a little~ but…I guess he heard it~“. Another fan said, “Daesung-goon we’re sorry if you were surprised when we asked you to move but it was funny~~ just laughing."

To this furious fans of Daesung protested for the comments left and Yonghwa’s fans then continued, “Daesungah’s face is a little’…I should have stopped there“, increasing the fight to 3 times it’s size.

Netizens expressed their opinions as well, “I went to Yonghwa’s gallery and the fans there really do have this kind of notion” “Why is it that those people on Yonghwa’s gallery don’t stop Yonghwa’s fans from creating such notions of themselves“.

However other netizens replied with, “Such an irrelevant article is only going to make things get ugly here“, and “this is an anti-yonghwa plot!“.

SISTAR, who recently returned with ‘How Dare You’ has now joined this club as they’ve introduced their official fan club.
Voting was conducted out of the nominees: Gemini, STAR1, Sismoon, Alcyone, Spica, and Amethyst . The final outcomes show that STAR1 came out on top and also the fan club was recently opened on daum.

Proud to be a Cassies

MOHAMAD FAIZAL SAMSUDIN discovers a world of friendship and music across language barriers as a fan of Korean boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki I DO not understand Korean but the music, vocals and performance of Korean boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK) have captured my attention.

The group consists of five members — Xiah Junsu, Micky Yuchun, Hero Jaejoong, U-know Yunho and Choikang Changmin.

DBSK has split up due to issues with its management and three of its members Junsu, Yuchun and Jaejoong have formed a new group, JYJ.
Being a DBSK fan makes me a Cassies, short for Cassiopeia, an official worldwide fan club created for DBSK fans to gather, share news, interest and talk about the group.
It has been more than two years since I became a devoted fan and I keep myself updated with its latest activities.
YouTube introduced me to DBSK. I was searching for Korean dramas to download but DBSK’s Hug music video caught my eye. I was hooked in an instant.

I started to search all related information about it after that.

DBSK performed a concert in Malaysia before it disbanded. I was able to catch JYJ live when the group came here for its album showcase last month.
Junsu is my favourite as he has the best vocals, dance skills and expression when he sings.

When I decided to go to the showcase, I did not have anyone to accompany me. However, I did not let that blow my chances of meeting JYJ.

I did not dare to blink when I was watching the show as I wanted to capture the entire event.

I was screaming and shouting for Junsu again and again. The showcase left me happy throughout the week.

I cannot wait for JYJ’s concert that may be held next year.

Some of my friends make fun of me because I am a boy obsessed with DBSK and JYJ. Well, I saw several other boys during the showcase and many of them are Chinese. The majority of Cassies are girls.

We are all connected with a special relationship that is hard for me to explain. That bond has introduced me to a few other Cassies who were willing to hang out with me during the show.

It felt like the whole world was smiling at me when they mentioned that I am the first and only Malay “fan boy” that they know.

The friendship did not end there. We stayed in touch via Facebook.

In fact, I managed to make friends with Cassies from Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea and Tunisia, among others, via the social network.

DBSK and JYJ unite us all.

Becoming a Cassies has also inspired me to achieve my goals.

I studied Tourism Management at Universiti Teknologi Mara and hope to work in Korea or Japan, specifically with the Malaysian Embassy.

To secure my dream job, I must gain work experience at related organisations in Malaysia.

I have already applied to work in the Foreign Affairs and Tourism Ministries and plan to take the Administrative and Diplomatic Service entrance exam.
The bands have also motivated me to learn Korean.

After discovering DBSK, I started to say “Ahn Nyong Ha Se Yo” instead of “Hello” whenever I make and receive calls from my friends.

They kept asking me, “Do you really need to do that?” but I just smile.

DBSK and JYJ are the most entertaining “Korean Language Teachers” ever!
I also picked up the language from books and watching Korean drama series.

I spent my leisure time at Kinokuniya in KLCC to read more books or related materials when I was studying in Shah Alam.

There is no harm in being obsessed with boy bands as long as you can gain something positive out of it.

Your interest in boy bands should not only allow you to enjoy yourself but also inspire you to do great things.

To all Cassies out there, no matter what happens, keep the faith!

BEAST brings the high potential for more hallyu fever in Japan

BEAST stood in front of the Japanese fans in the “pet-idol” appearance instead of their usual “beast-idol” look. In particular, the aegyo (cuteness) parade from the main vocal Yang Yoseob won many praises from the fans. It was literally what BEAST had meant before they got on stage, “We don’t think of ourselves as ‘beast-idols’. Our charms are a variety.”

It is said that a true artist shows off their genuine presence on stage. BEAST, who had commented that “they had studied their Japanese, but it is still a bit rough,” was able to control the hearts of the fans in the showcase that lasted for an hour. The cuteness and charisma that emitted from them was enough to get the fans hyped up.

One male fan who was at the showcase commented, “The energy that comes out in their strong performances is very attractive.” Reuna (17), who visited the showcase with her mother said, “I like Yoseob who is cute the best,” and added, “In Japan, Yoseob is the most popular.” Maiko (29) from Kanahyun commented, “Yoseob is usually cute, but on stage he changes,” and added, “You can see the other opposite side of him.”

The twin dancers Kensukae (18) and Sunsukae (18) who visited the showcase with 5 other friends confessed, “We practice dancing from watching BEAST’s performances.” Tomoae (32) and Tamaae (23) from Chiba stated that they found out about BEAST through the TV and bought the CD after searching the internet. The siblings found an ad for the showcase and ended up coming. They also stated that they are planning to attend the solo concert in Korea and added, “I hope that they come to Japan often, but we are watching their activities in Korea as well. It’s fun.”

Uka (37) from Sizoka commented, “It was really beautiful seeing the members taking care of each other on stage. This is a group that will definitely last long.”

Ukari (42) who came in the vehicle provided by Kusue stated, “I watched BEAST since their debut days. I have been waiting thinking that one day they will be coming to Japan. The charm of BEAST is their impressive singing and performance skills. On stage they are charismatic, but off stage they are friendly and cute. That is what makes them different.”

Mai (20) who drove the 5 hour distance for the showcase commented, “It was good because you could see the stage well from any angle. The performance was overfilling. I came with my friend and I think she fell in love with BEAST as well.”

BEAST ranked high among DBSK and Super Junior, who had also made their debut in Japan. Apart from the female groups like Girls Generation and Kara and the split group JYJ, BEAST appearance in Japan gave a preview of the new hallyu wave they will bring to the boy fandom. Also, BEAST will be having a rivalry with the group 2PM which will be debuting in Japan in December showing the true hallyu power.

Meanwhile, BEAST’s showcase will be broadcasted on NTV ‘Zoom In Super’ and Fuji TV ‘Tokunanae’ on the 29th. BEAST will be coming back to Korea in the morning of the 28th and appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

2NE1’s Dara sheds tears of gratitude after receiving gift from Filipino fan

2NE1’s Sandara Park shed tears after being presented with traditional, handmade Filipino meals by a Filipino fan.

On the latest episode of Mnet’s ‘2NE1 TV Season 2′, Sandara was unexpectedly greeted by a Filipino fan, who was able to find her by asking around which hotel the group was staying at while they were in America for their album work.

Sandara, who was always fond of traditional Filipino meals, felt more gratitude than usual as her health had been taking a downward spiral at the time. Sandara was even more thankful that her fan had taken the effort to find her all the way in America.

Dara said, “I was really moved by all the fans who were able to recognize us on the streets while in America. It reminds me of the times when I auditioned back in the Philippines. Back then, I was put in one of the very bottom piles of the audition, however, because of the fans’ support and love, I was able to place second. If it wasn’t for them, I would not have been 2NE1’s Sandara Park.”

2PM set to go on a movie date with lucky fans

 

2PM is planning on having a movie “date” with fans on November 6th with the assistance of CGV movie theater.

The event will be called “2PM Day at CGV”, and a few select fans can come to the theater and watch an evening movie with their favorite boy band.

The six lucky fans will be chosen from a random selection of comments left on the CGV homepage.
They’ll also receive gifts and signed CDs.

SHINee's Hello Taiwan first Fan Party

SHINee is hosting a “Hello Taiwan first FAN PARTY” in Taipei this coming Sunday, November 7th.

Tickets for the fan meet sold out in seconds due to SHINee’s explosive popularity. They are scheduled to arrive to Taipei Thursday morning at 11:00AM TST (Taiwan Standard Time) and will be heading straight to show recordings. As this is their third visit to Taiwan, SHINee is no stranger to Taiwanese variety shows. They are scheduled to appear on “100% Entertainment”, “Super King”, the singing competition show “One Million Star”, and others. They are also the first ever South Korean artist to participate in “One Million Star”, one of Taiwan’s biggest shows.

SHINee will also follow their label-mates, Super Junior and SNSD, in a Taiwan MRT(subway) “attack”. The MRT will be posting the latest photos of the five shining members on 300 subway cars. There will also be 6 designated special VIP SHINee subway cars, covered with 72 various individual and group photos so that fans can enjoy seeing their favorite idols every day commuting to and from school. The promoters also noted to fans, “don’t be surprised if you run into SHINee in the MRT.”

It’s been awhile since all of SHINee members participated in variety shows together. Are you excited to see them?
