Beast’s Son Dong Woon runs forward as ‘the inline roller skating representative’

48 idol stars gathered at the Bucheon Stadium for the recording of the National Idol Sports Championships broadcast on the 30th of April. Participants representing their hometowns took part in this contest of basic physical abilities with explosive competitive spirit.

A special event in this championships was the inline roller skating event. Beast’s Son Dongwoon took part in this event representing the Gangwon-Chungcheong team.

Before the competition, Dongwoon had previously posted online that his favourite sport was inline roller skating, and he also revealed that during his school days, he had represented Cheongju to take part in the National Inline Roller Skating Competition , getting second place.

Besides Dongwoon, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Seungho along with ZE:A’s Dongjun who is recognised as a strong athletic force among idols were his worthy opponents. Even from the beginning, the competition between them was fierce.

Will Beast’s Dongwoon surpass his other idol opponents and show off his skills as the national inline roller skating prize winner? Results will be seen on the program National Idol Sports Championships.

Eunhyuk to Appear on MBC Variety show “Enjoy Today”

The stars from <Idol Star Track and Field Championship> have come together once again. Group members who appeared and won medals on Choosuk special, <Idol Star Track and Field Championship> will come on MBC variety program ‘Enjoy Today’ of Sunday Sunday Night. Including 2AM Jo Kwon who won gold medal from 100m race, group 8eight’s Lee Hyun (long jump gold medal), Super Junior’s Eunhyuk (110m hurdle silver medal), ZeA’s Minwoo, U-Kiss Eli and Group Sistar members who won three gold medals in women categories have participated in the filming. They went up against the MCs of ‘Enjoy Today’ Shin Hyun Joon, Jung Joon Ho, Gong Hyoung Jin, Kim Hyun Chul, and Seo Ji Suk to compete in the same events featured in <Idol Star Track and Field Championship> . The match between the idol members and Seo Ji Suk who was previously a track and field athlete especially received much attention from the staffs. A staff of ‘Enjoy Today’ revealed that Seo Ji Suk showed his ability to become the ace of Enjoy Today’s team. The episode of Enjoy Today which features the stars of <Idol Star Track and Field Championship> will be aired on the 10th at 6:40PM.

Minho’s not strong enough for Kim ShinYoung?

Minho’s Strength Fails Kim ShinYoung

SHINee’s Minho has the height and the muscles, but apparently not the strength to carry Kim ShinYoung.

This weekend’s broadcast of MBC Chuseok special Idol star Athletics Championship showed your favorite idols running races and jumping hurdles among other games. Gag comedian ShinYoung was part of the women’s 100M race, and she was doing just fine until she tumbled face down onto the ground.

Her idol friends surrounded her immediately, coming to her aid. Minho tried to offer his lifting services by hoisting the comedian on his back, only for his knees to buckle at the effort. Good thing Super Junior’s Shindong was there to do the task.

“Idol Star Athletics Championship” confirmed to return next year

MBC’s “Idol Star Athletics Championship” will be back for next year’s Chuseok holiday, but will be changing its theme into “Idol Swimming Championships“.

MBC’s representative revealed on the 28th, “We’ve decided to organize the ‘Idol Special Championships’ next year as well. It’s something we’ve discussed ever since the program was still in its production stage. If viewers didn’t show us so much support, we would’ve just considered it, but thankfully the response was substantial enough for us to decide to broadcast it every year. The show was competing against other dramas, but still managed to create a new viewer base with the teens.”

He went on to state, “We are preparing a special swimming championship for next year.”

Viewers seemed to be highly entertained seeing 130 of their favorite idols running around and enjoying their time with their friends. Seems like UEE got her wish granted for next year!
