KBS delivers ‘Best Idol Star’ award to JYJ

It seems the boys have just received their award from KBS.
A staff member from KBS uploaded a picture and tweeted, “Due to schedule ~ We went to find JYJ who was filming in Kangnam, and delivered the <Idol Star Picked By Netizens> Best Icon Award. The three young men who are still spirited, lively, and cheerful as before. We even brought restorative herbal medicine so that they’ll eat and hang in there..”
In the picture uploaded, the JYJ members are seen holding their award and herbal medicine with pleased expressions on their faces.

Big Bang sends their New Year’s greetings

Big Bang has just released a video wishing fans a Happy New Year through their YouTube channel.
The video kicked off with G-Dragon‘s greeting, followed by Seungri, Daesung, Taeyang, and T.O.P. The goofy members found a way to incorporate their own names into the greeting.

G-Dragon: “Knock knock. Hello, this is G-Dragon. A new year’s card has arrived for you. I’ve prepared a new year’s greeting. They say 2012 is the year of the dragon ["yong" in Korean], and as you know, my name is Jiyong~ I think next year will be a year that I’ll really look forward to. I pray that next year will be meaningful and filled with good things for all of you. Happy New Year.”
Seungri: “Knock knock knock. Hello, this is Seungri. A new year’s card has arrived for you. I’ve also prepared a new year’s greeting. I will hope this will be a year in which you achieve victory ["seungri" in Korean] in love, victory in your studies, victory in work, and victory in everything that you want. This was Big Bang’s Seungri ringing in the new year, 2012.”
Daesung: “Knock knock. Hello, this is Daesung. A new year’s card has arrived for you. I’ve also prepared a new year’s greeting. Everyone, attain greatness ["daesung" in Korean] this year. Us, Big Bang, are energetically starting off again this year, so let us and all of you attain greatness!Daesung, Daesung, Daesung.”
Taeyang: “Knock knock. Hello, this is Taeyang. A new year’s card has arrived for you. Hello everyone, I, also, have prepared a new year’s greeting. Happy New Year. In 2012, a new sun ["taeyang" in Korean] will rise, and Big Bang’s Taeyang will also rise. I sincerely hope that in 2012, everything you wish for and want will come true. Everyone, fighting!”
T.O.P: “Knock knock. A new year’s card has arrived for you. The first day of 2012 has arrived. I hope that 2012 will be the year that you remember as the ‘top’. Top. You are my t-o-p.”

TEEN TOP reveals MV for “Going Crazy”

TEEN TOP has kicked off their comeback by releasing a new music video!
On January 5th, the boys unveiled a MV that’s both dynamic and dramatic, as it mixes fluid choreography sequences with a story of a frustrating love.
As reported earlier, TEEN TOP teamed up with Brave Brothers for their second mini-album, who oversaw each aspect to ensure a high quality album. The effort definitely seems to have paid off, as the boys delivered an upgrade in looks, talents, and skills through just their music video alone.

Super Junior’s Shindong declares himself to be the “eyeliner prince”

Super Junior‘s Shindong is back with yet another hilarious Photoshopped image!
This photo appeared on his me2day with the description, “I am the eyeliner prince!
The tongue-in-cheek wisecrack refers to the black paint Shindong liberally dabbed on his eyes. In fact, instead of looking like a prince, the idol ends up looking like some sort of crazy sea captain, thanks to his white cap and painted-on beard.

INFINITE’s promotional concert posters are a hit

INFINITE recently sold out all 8,000 tickets to their first solo concert, ‘Second Invasion‘, within 5 minutes of tickets going on sale.
To thank fans for their support, the boys released individual posters to put up on the streets in promotion of the concert. Hilariously enough, fans ended up taking them all home, turning the promotional posters into ‘personal posters’.
Production company CJ E&M representatives expressed, “We’ll be releasing posters of two more members this weekend following Dongwoo and Woohyun. We’re sure that they’ll disappear just as quickly as well, as they’ve been garnering quite the response.”
Representatives of Woollim added, “The posters were produced to promote the concert and thank fans for their support in selling out the tickets. We’re both proud and grateful that they’re receiving a great response.”
The posters will be revealed through mid-January. INFINITE’s ‘Second Invasion’ will be held on February 11th.

Shinhwa begins comeback preparations with choreography rehearsals

The members of Shinhwa have finally come together to officially begin preparations for their March comeback!
Starting January 2nd, the members reunited to practice the choreography for their past tracks and upcoming 10th album, which will be accompanied by an Asia tour concert.
On January 5th, representatives revealed, “The members will be meeting up a few times a week to prepare for their Asian tour. Since they’re also rushing into the production for their March comeback, it will be quite a busy two months for them. The members are preparing diligently for this.”
All of the members have officially completed their military service as of last year, and as previously announced, will be coming together for their 14th anniversary this March. They became the first ever idol group to launch their own company, Shinhwa Company, to unite the members who are all a part of different agencies.
Following their March album release will be a busy tour on top of their own variety show on jTBC‘s ‘Shinhwa Show‘.

MBLAQ confirmed for season five of ‘Hello Baby

MBLAQ has been confirmed as the new stars of the fifth season of KBS Joy‘s ‘Hello Baby‘!
Scheduled to begin airing by the end of the month, ‘Hello Baby’ has had stars like SNSDSHINeeT-ara, and SISTAR band together to raise one special baby.
On January 5th, MBLAQ’s representatives revealed, “The members all love children so they were called in for a new season. Mir and G.O. especially have nephews and nieces so they have a lot of interest in raising children. We hope that the program shows off the members’ individual charms.”
MBLAQ will begin recording for the first time this week, in addition to their fourth mini-album comeback.

MBLAQ releases concept image for comeback album, “100% Ver.”

On January 5th, MBLAQ released a new concept image for their upcoming album, “100% Ver.“!
Sporting brand new hair styles and unique outfits that incorporate leather and, fur, and feathers, the boys have officially kicked off their comeback preparations with a fierce new look!
J. Tune Camp expressed, “This is a new image cut of their upcoming album. There was a member that offered to shave his head but we decided to take in the opinion of fans and stop at a mohawk(laughter). The album’s name is ’100% Ver.’, which is an expression of their satisfaction and confidence in the album’s quality.”
The teaser music video for their title track, “It’s War“, will be released on January 6th.
