The 25th Golden Disk Awards was held on December 9th at the Hwajeong Gym in Koryeo University, and many top K-pop artists were in attendance.

The awards show first began in 1986, and since then, it’s become Korea’s most prestigious awards ceremony for music. Nicknamed the ‘Korean Grammy Awards,’ the ceremony is known for its fair standards, as the committee utilizes figures from album and digital music sales only.

10Asia Chooses SungKyunKwan Scandal As The Best Drama Of 2010

Yoochun may be on a road trip with JYJ right now but hopefully he hears the news and celebrates!

JYJ’s Park Yoochun, Park Minyoung, Yoo Ahin and Song Joongki’s exceptional drama, SungKyunKwan Scandal, has been chosen as the best Korean drama of 2010 by fourteen of 10Asia’s reporters.

Along with the recognition, the reporters showered the drama and it’s cast with praise while also noting the drama’s weaknesses.

Critics said that although it was not the most well-made drama, it was the drama with the most meaning.
One reporter noted that that drama touched on everything from romance to questions about principles, reform, intelligence and more, making it the “the year’s discovery” that nobody expected. Yoon Hee Sung says “There were many dramas that made the viewers laugh and cry but there was no other drama that warmed our hearts to this extent.”

Park Yoochun talks about relationship rumors with Park Min Young

After their respective agencies slammed the relationship rumors between TVXQ’s Yoochun and actress Park Min Young, Yoochun recently voiced his thoughts about the issue during an interview for his drama.

Park Yoochun told Yeonhap News, “I was shocked when I heard about these relationship rumors. I think it was because of that very intimate love scene in the drama.”

He continued, “From now on, I will keep acting with authentic emotions, even when doing mellow scenes. That’s the only way it can look real.”

Yoochun’s agency earlier clarified this issue as mere groundless rumors, as they stated, “Articles about the two actors dating are not real.”

Park Min Young admits to plastic surgery

“I’m not going to say that I have something I don’t have, and that I don’t have something I do have. I did have plastic surgery.”

The actress of “Sungkyunkwan Scandal“, Park Min Young, admitted for the first time, in an interview with Sports Chosun, to having done plastic surgery.

She stated, “I got double eyelid surgery in junior high school. My mom let me get it so I could become prettier. I also got my nose done, but that’s only because my nose was crooked during junior high.”
Having earned much popularity for her ‘goddess-like looks,’ Park Min Young went through some difficult times after pictures during her elementary school days were revealed.

When asked why she decided to reveal it, “I don’t think it’s a bad idea to truthfully state something as is. The past is important, but I hope people focus more on the current ‘actress Park Min Young.‘”
Regarding her role in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” she went on to state, “I never worried about how I’d look on screen while filming it. I have a lot of things I don’t like about my face, such as my large forehead and chubby cheeks, but acting got a lot easier once I let all of that go. Although I acted the role of a female dressed as a male, I didn’t even use insoles to add any height.”

Her agency also gave a few statements regarding Park Min Young’s looks by stating, “She enjoys pilates and is adamant about taking care of her body. She also doesn’t wear any make up off camera so her skin is usually flawless.”

Park Yoochun and Park Min Young Representatives Immediately Denied About Dating Rumors “It’s unfounded, they’re good friends”!

Park Yoochun and Park Min Young representatives immediately denied about the two actors’ dating rumors.

Representatives of Park Yoochun and Park Min Young had a phonecall with Newsen on the 21st and said, It’s completely unfounded rumor about both of them.”

Both said that the love nurtured during the shooting of their drama between Park Yoochun and Park Min Young is a false alarm. They do spend good time together as cheering and console each other publicly on the shooting set, yet to the rumor which takes this further saying the they’re dating, both side denied and emphasized that they’re just good friends.


The official said, “Since the beginning of the drama, they’re clicked thus they’ve been hanging around together, but not as in lover relationship, it’s just friends relationship. They’re too ‘good friends’ that it’s hard to see them as in the rumor says.”

The two actors’ drama official also commented, “It’s absolutely not true,” he said. “They have good relationship for filming work, but they’re awkward/shy to each other in real life.”
