Kang Ho Dong to pay a fine for tax evasion

On September 5th, representatives of Kang Ho Dong revealed that he was investigated for tax evasion, and was eventually charged a fine.

Through an official press release, representatives stated, “We’d like to first apologize to the fans for concerning them with such unfortunate news. During his recent investigation by the National Tax Service, it’s been discovered that he was charged additional fees of a couple hundred million won.  For the past five months, he’s been working with his lawyer for all of the necessary steps required by the National Tax Service and genuinely did all he could for the investigation.”

They continued, “What was found in his declaration was that he did not pay enough taxes, which was why he was charged additional fees.  Kang Ho Dong will make the appropriate payments immediately. Whatever the reason, we would like to apologize to his fans and the citizens of Korea for concerning them with this issue.”

Concluding, they added, “We would also like to promise that Kang Ho Dong will abide by the law, since it’s his duty as a citizen of this nation.  We bow our head in apology once more.”

TVXQ’s Yunho says Kang Ho Dong is his personal mentor

On SBS’s “Strong Heart“, TVXQ’s Yunho revealed that Kang Ho Dong was his personal mentor.
Yunho shared an anecdote involving his groupmate Max Changmin, which had taken place around the time of their debut. It then led to his confession of how he met Kang Ho Dong.

“After our debut, I started feeling some doubt about working in the entertainment industry,” he said. “But then I met Kang Ho Dong at the set of a variety program. I felt that I could get back up after receiving some kind words from him. Kang Ho Dong is my mentor.”

This episode of “Strong Heart” will be aired on February 8th, and will feature TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin, as well as veteran comedian Johnny Yoon, Girl’s Day member Minah, SBS’s announcer Kim Minji, as well as actors Lee Jong Suk, Shin Joo Ah, and Yoo In Na.

National MC Kang Hodong gave a sincere advice about Leeteuk’s attitude.

On November 30 at the broadcast of SBS Entertainment Program “Strong Heart” (MC Kang Hodong, Lee Seunggi), Super Junior member Donghae said, “We were playing basketball with the members, but (suddenly) Leeteuk screamed and he couldn’t get up. It’s not even a sprained ankle, but he screamed because of a blister”.

Donghae said, “That day when we woke up, Leeteuk hyung was not there. Later I found out that day was Star King’s filming day. Then SHInee Minho called me and asked , ‘Did Leeteuk Hyung break his ankle? He keeps being carried on (someone’s) shoulder at the filming site”

Donghae then continued, “After the filming ended, Leeteuk hyung went home with a sad face and he said his heart feels hurt like he’s been brokenhearted. It turned out that it was because Kang Hodong asked him, ‘Where is it that hurts? You aren’t a pro. Your body is not your body’“

After hearing this, Kang Hodong said, “At the filming site, Leeteuk was exaggerating a skin meat, not a blister”, crowning Leeteuk as a “crybaby-dol”¹. Donghae then acted out how Leeteuk who was only wearing his underwear, shouted “I’m a Pro!”²; making the studio laughed.

Meanwhile, Park Hasun, Moon Chaewon, Choi Jinhyuk, Donghae, Kang Minhyuk, Kim Wonjun, Yuri, Sooyoung, and the other were guesting in this broadcast.
