"Running Man's" Gary Addresses Fans Regarding His Monday Couple Relationship with Song Ji Hyo

Yesterday, actress Song Ji Hyo went public with her relationship to C-Jes Entertainment CEO Baek Chang Joo. As a result, many “Running Man” fans expressed their concerns regarding the much-loved Monday couple (Song Ji Hyo and Leessang’s Gary). Many Monday couple fans even sent support messages to Gary, which prompted him to respond.

Earlier today, Gary tweeted, “Did we put in too much into our act?” emphasizing the fact that the Monday couple was simply a skit. He added, “No more cheering up! There’s no reason to cheer me up. There are others who are more in need of cheering. I’m simply having a hard time looking for my ego.”

Song Ji Hyo and Gary are known as the Monday couple on popular variety show “Running Man.” The two would entertain their co-stars and fans by showing interest in each other, especially on Mondays – the primary recording day for the show.

Actor Song Joong Ki took the #1 spot on the survey among idols for ‘The Top 10 Stars idols want to spend Christmas with’.

Recently on MBC Every1′s ‘Weekly Idol’, some of the idol groups including Wonder Girls, T-ara, A Pink, B1A4 were present and in the survey for ‘The Top 10 Stars idols want to spend Christmas with’, Song Joong Ki received the most votes ranking #1 on the list.

The idols who picked Song Joong Ki pointed out as their reasons, “Need someone handsome at the party”, and “I think he would be fun.”

Aside from Song Joong Ki, comedian Choi Hyo Jong currently appearing on KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert’, Leessang member Gary, actor Yoo Ah In and Jang Geun Suk and more were on the list.

Among female entertainers, Kang so Ra and Song Ji Hyo, actresses who are showing off their true charm on variety shows ranked high.

‘The Top 10 Stars idols want to spend Christmas with’ and the honest reasons for the choices will be revealed on ‘Weekly Idol’ on December 17th.

Leessang’s Gary finally learns what ‘lol’ means

Leessang member Gary revealed that he’s finally figured out what ‘lol (laugh out loud)’ meant in English.

On December 7th, Gary tweeted, “I learned that the equivalent of ‘kekeke’ in Korean (which represents laughter) is ‘LOLOLOL’ in English. My manager Choi was texting one of his friends in America, and he was super embarrassed when he asked Yoon Mi Rae why his friend kept saying ‘roll, roll, roll’. I didnt know either! ‘lololol”

Netizens laughed as they commented, “I didn’t know either. roll roll roll” and “I know now, thanks to you.”

In related news, Gary is building a strong fanbase as a member of the hit SBS variety program, ‘Running Man‘.

Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, Leessang, and more to rock L.A. with a concert

Earlier, we reported that some of Korea’s top music labels had teamed up with CJ E&M to launch a new global concert brand called ‘M-Live‘.

During the press conference for the launch, Jungle Entertainment, one of the participating entertainment companies, had revealed that they would be holding a concert in L.A.

On November 3rd, ‘M-Live’ announced that Jungle Entertainment would be holding their ‘[M Live by CJ] Jungle Concert in L.A.’ on December 2nd at ‘The Wiltern’.
Jungle Entertainment’s Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, Leessang, Jung In, and Bizzy will all fly out to L.A. to deliver a spectacular show.

The label stated, “It’s very inspiring to be able to lead the way for Korean hip hop’s globalization as the K-Pop craze is striking the world.”

‘The Wiltern’ is a venue that can house 3,000 spectators, and has hosted shows from world famous act like Jay-Z, Eminem, Adele, Smashing Pumpkins, Tears for Fears, and more.
